One more example of how the racing in F1 today has deteriorated since then. That was great side-by-side, back and forth racing. This would be the anithesis of what happened last year between Schumacher and Alonso at the San Marino GP. Schumacher had the much faster car, and was charging hard, but Alonso was able to hold him off, not because of greater skill, but because he couldn't pull alongside Alonso due to air disruption off the tail of the car. These cars have become way too aero-dependant. No mechanical grip. Hopefully FIA can get this corrected for '08.

This has been posted before, but I'll leave it because it's a really old topic.

I've got this race downloaded on my computer. It's actually an icon on my desktop. I must've seen it at least 30 or 40 times. I'm pretty much obsessed with this one moment in F1 history. I've written poems and done art pieces about it. It's just absolute insane driving. It just goes to show that Gilles was an excellent driver. I believe the Ferrari at the time was out dated and rather slow compared to the Renaults. He was balls to the wall, all or nothing. Notice how late he brakes into the first corner. It's mad! Both of them are on the verge of going off track.

R.I.P. Gilles Villineuve. You were the maddest Canadian I've ever seen.

Watching that gave me chills. (The good kind.)

Mopar, where did you download it at? I'd like to have that in my collection.

Yes, probably not. Where have you been?

And I can't remember where I downloaded it from. I'm pretty sure Ghalos gave it to me over AIM. I might be able to do the same through email or AIM if you'd like.

Mopar, how big is that file. Maybe you can upload it to rapidshare or something. I'd love to see the rest.

No no. It's the exact same one as the video up there. I haven't a clue where you'd get the real race, and the only person that I know who actually saw it was Crossle.

Hehe, I love this video...What really blows my mind, is how often both of them caught air. On the last turn before the very end, watch the speed differential between them and the other car on the track.

The rubbing, gah, "rubbing's racing" was never so obvious as it is in this video.

You said: I've got this race downloaded on my computer. So I thought it was the complete race. My bad
