A nice video that compares a real lap at the Nurburgring on an M3 GTR vs. a lap on a Skyline GT-R on Gran Turismo 4 (also on the Nurburgring)

It's a great vid. Polyphony Digital must've worked real hard to make Nurburgring......

This is incredibly realistic. I played it a lot and I still can't believe they could come up that close to the real Nordschleife. Now if you want a little challenge try this: 2000 Mercedes CLK DTM in arcade hot lap. Power +20% (about 530 some) and weight -10% and free tire choice.

Time to beat : 5.51.106 - clean lap with at least two wheels in contact with the track or speed bump at any time...Apart when you're jumping !

Top Gear did a show on that as well, but went to Laguna Seca in California, using the NSX. I thought that was pretty cool. Thanks for the video man.

no the Forza Nurburgring is extremley inaccurate. basically ive tested it in a stock Impreza on both games and the forza track is a good 30 seconds faster

PGR 2 is just as bad, it feels nothing like Nurburgring.....

I can't view it. But according to the comments it should be nice. That means that it's very realistic, which means that i shouldn't even try to get close to the Nürburgring in real life. I was driving a 1971 Super Bee 426 HEMI on it yesterday. On a flying lap I chashed twice... LMAO. Imagine me on the Ring i real life. I would be in danger to myself and everybody around me.

You think, that it's realistic? Have You watched it from the exterior? The car behaves, like a cartoon box on a rails..... there are no physics at all. Central pivot steering. Synthetic body swaying. "Stunts" on Amiga500 was more realistic.

Try the Papyrus' Grand Prix Legends and/or NASCAR Racing 2003. Try Richard Burns Rally. See what sims are made of.
