are you serious?
the graphics are incredible, the sound is fine and its a lot more fun the underground series. the game wasnt made to be ultra realistic or a driving simulation, it was made to have fun driving done up exotics.
i havent played the xbox or ps2 version but my pc version is brilliant.

this is pretty impressive! (this image is in low quality)

im sorry but like all need for speed games the cars stick to the road theirs once where i actualy rolled the car, this give the car no lift-off or anything like that, which most of the time helps me turn sharp corners ....
the steerings crap ... and you just go round the same track over again

burn out revenge...
my mate plays that all the time, he can unlock 8 cars in under a day.. steering better than most wanted ...
but the only good thing between them in my eyes is the graphics.

sometimes keeping the game close to real life can make driving alot easier in real life or artifical.

Whatta whiney boy.

but i like chalenging games and the most challenging you can get are the ones that are close to real life like RBR and GT4.

pimping cars to make them look relly bad and then run them over jumps only to see that the cars only reached 2 meters off the floor inst relly fun.

Dude, it might not be fun for you...but videogames aren't meant to be so challenging that you're stressed about it, quite the opposite. NFS (the series) was never meant to be a simulator, just about driving fast cars and dodging cops...Try Hot Pursuit 2, maybe if you played the older one's you'd see this instead of that waste of technology: NFS Underground...

Well the sound is even better than GT4.
In GT4 the SLR McLaren sounds a little like a CLK500, on a very metallic way. In NFSMW it sounds exactly like in real life.

Tom games are a hit or flop by the way the car sounds.
Most people who would buy it woundn't even know.
NFS games are just fun for wanna be ricers imo.

my ps2 versions graphic is quite lower.
i agree that they arent simulators but the handlings were just disgusting, you could pass a 90 degree turn with over 230km/h speeds even f1 cars cant do that.common they will build another nfs and u can do a u turn with 400km/h.would u really enjoy that??????[-X

So...NFS: Hot Pursuit 2, with only fast cars and exotics, oh, and no tuning, just like almost all the other one's before Underground was for ricers?

I think most wanted is fun to play but the handling sux, underground 2 was good back in the day but when looked at now the graphics are poor the handling is worse then most wanted an whats the point in puttin lambo doors on a car in a racing game when you cant even use the damn things except in photoshots, the videos are good in most wanted, and as for gt4 i had it about 3 days and sold it as it was boring as hell, good graphics but it bored me stiff and as for it being a simulator thats bollox, the handling is betta then need 4 speed but could be more realistic.

Uhhh...

Based on the general tone of this thread...I'd think otherwise, but, w/e, you can think it sucks.

This much is certain:
NFS MW > Underground

And really, having not even played MW, I'd agree. Because, Underground was garbage.

I would say that Most Wanted is a good game because of the fact that they mixed in the elements of being chased by cops. For those who don't love this adrenaline rush of being chased by cops can eat me (like Hannibal Lecter or however his last name is spelled). I also love the sound of the supercharger which closely matches the sound of the supercharger in Forza (yes I do have Forza)

If you want the real reactions of a car, drive a car at high speed. (No I am not condoning street racing. Do it at a track fun day or something). I've played almost every NFS, Forsa, All the GT games, etc. I've never played any of them for more than 20 minutes because the action is so friggin unrealistic it makes me sick, (plus I'm not a big gamer in the first place. My 20 minutes spent w/ each of these games represents about 50% of the video game playing I've done since high school). Anyone who has ever taken any kind of turn at 100+ in a resaonably fast car knows exactly what I'm talking about. I'm sure monkeyfkker and Crossle can back me up on this one.

PS- Where the hell is Crossle? I haven't seen him post in a while I think.

As long as you buy this on a high spec platform (PC or Xbox360) it has some of the most advanced graphical and lighting dynamics ever made. But its true, I've got Forza for detail and Most Wanted for fun. Police chases are a blast.

And before you ask, no I'm not a nerd, I've raced a porsche 911 turbo (996) and a Lambo Murcielago around Thruxton.

Ahhh... I was one of the first ones in Greece to Buy Hot Pursuit 2... That game... I still remember the hours I spent trying to beat the last stages...

Btw... My opinion on this is... When I need a shot of driving, I either turn on my pc and play NFSU2 with my steering wheel (NOTE: I don't like the game. I like my steering wheel... lol), or, I go karting (much more realistic "game")!!!

Police chases in forza would be daft though. :p

Never had the chance to chase a 911 around a track but I've had my share of track racing. Most often ran a mitsubishi colt with a somewhat jury-rigged engine. Not very fast but quite enjoyable and faster then most of the opposition. Dutch speedway racing isn't exactly high end stuff so to speak.

Looking forward to running some laps on the Nurnburgring with my FC and I'm using Forza to learn as much about the track as possible before actually going to go full throttle there.

I've been to the nordschleife befor but memorizing it from 2 visits is pretty much impossible. Therefor hundreds of test laps in forza will help me memorise the places where I will have to pay extra attention. The game is realistic enough for that purpose although I would never say it's anywhere close to a real life racing experience.

Neither did Idin but he seems to be 'gifted'

meh... one more question about your grumping around about old threads being revived and members starting threads about topics that were discussed womewhere in a far far past... How is it possible to discuss things when you're not allowed to :
1: make a thread about a topic which has been discussed in the history of this forum
2: revive a thread of a topic you're interested in but which you cannot start a topic about since that woudl be against rule number 1.

This would technically mean we run out of topics somewhere in the future you know?
