i am not impressed at all by the psp, i think a xbox 360 would be a much better choice.

The PSP is just a PS2 with shorter games.
The 360 has new and very cool games like PGR3 and gears of war. The PSP has shortened versions of PS2 games.

I was planning to get a psp for Christmas but then decided not to. It's quite useless because I won't have time to play it while I'm out. It's way too big for a mp3 player, so maybe the only thing I could use it for is to watch videos but then thats not going to happen often either. So I decided to save up for a laptop instead. So I would probably get the 360 and PS3 when it comes out

Although I am unbelievably biased towards the playstation, I'd choose the 360. I have a psp, but seriously there is no comparison between the two.

i had a 360 only reason i bought one was to make money, but for everyday i kept it, i wanted to open it and play Perfect Dark Zero.

i too suggest to wait for the ps3 you have plenty of time to save up for the console itself, 1 or 2 games and another controller.

I just got a PSP last Tuesday and it was really awesome!
I have SOCOM 3 and NFS..
I like it because it's very portable and you can bring it anywhere unlike the 360.(has better graphics though)

How much is a PSP there in Denmark?

Does anyone else think that sayin 'the ps3 will be far better than the xbox 360' is stupid when no-one has played and compared them properly?

I don't know. But i have a straight head to head comparo, like this...

PlayStation 3................ Xbox 360
Top speed:
RPM:
HP:

But i don't know wha all of the computer-words mean. So i don't know which i better.

The way i see it, the xbox being the amercan would have a fat v8 and the playstation being from japan would have a turbocharged 4 or 6 cylinder. That probobly doesnt help but who cares

^I'd have the Xbox then i think. lol
But the PS3 has 550... grafic-things and the Xbox has 500. But the Xbox has a lot of "blutooth", which is a crazy Danish (Or Norwegian?) viking, who attacked Greenland as far as i know. LMAO

Much has been said on the difference between the two machines' noggins, some biased towards the Microsoft and others towards Sony. The CPU in the latter has more going for it in terms of "core" hardware but the former's cores - while fewer - are more powerful.

The cores really place the power in the hands of developers. The Xbox 360 has 3 running at 3.2GHz each, the PS3 has seven apparently. So theoretically the PS3 is faster, much faster, which means it can do a lot more complex things. These days complex things refer to physics calculations and graphics operations. But it's all about how to use them as the power can only be exploited by using the cores together. It's a bit like having several complex puzzles to solve with several clever people available. If you give each person one puzzle will they solve it quicker than if you give all the people one puzzle at a time? The better developers will make their code efficient, meaning theoretically better games.

The PS3 will be more complex to develop for, which might mean that the first wave of games will be better on the 360. Having said that, the PS3 line up looks a lot more impressive right now.

In terms of the active memory on access, the PS3 is two times as powerful as the PS2 and the Xbox 360 is twice that. The reason memory speed is an issue is purely for framerate. If you have a massive polygonal monster (err literally) to display that's a lot of vertices to process, on top of texture mapping, normal mapping, light mapping, per pixel shading etc etc yawn. And you're trying to squeeze all that data down a pipe to be processed and spat out at the other end. The faster your memory the more you can squeeze down the pipe at once, meaning the more data you can process. So memory and processor speed are very connected.

GREAT SUMMARY!!!!! Now I don't have to read all that PS3 vs XBOX 360 articles that are 300 pages long.....

Well it depends on what you want. A good gaming system at home, or portability. The PSP is the best current handheld, and the 360 is the best current gaming system. The PSPs screen is GORGEOUS, and the analog stick they put on it is a very good idea. D-pads are a thing of the past. Great games for it too. You can also play movies, view images, and other things on the PSP, incase you don't know. If you get the 360, get the full system. Not the core system. It's not worth it.

Sorry to double post but I didn't read the topic when I first posted heh.

Yes, the 360s graphics are just as good as you see in pictures, videos, etc. The PS2 will look like a Nintendo compared to a 360, even on a normal television. HDTV just brings things to a new level. Sharper, clearer, brighter, more detailed graphics.

Edit: To the person above me, the PSPs screen is gigantic for a handheld. The GBAs screen is tiny as **** compared to it, and the DS's isn't as big or as clear as it. It just has two...which is stupid.

I bought the Xbox 360 when it came out and next day I've heard rumors that this new console freezes but mine does work really good.

err... on paper, PS3 < xBox360 by a long shot.
the 'seven cpu', 1 of them are the general/multi-purpose use CPUs, good for gaming. The other 6 are cell-processors which sony developed which are GARBAGE for gaming. # of processors don't mean anything, if you don't know what kind of processors they are. The PS3 is also equipped with a 2X BlueRay drive. The BlueRay disk itself is around 50Gigs capacity (give or take 10Gigs, either way its still huge), but with a 2X drive, guess how long the loading time will be.

My 360 and my 52" Panasonic

Is there really a question here?
