the first video it says the cobra has a mod or 2, im guessing the engines been completely modified? racing tires? possibly no supercharger, just a nice sounding loud V8!

obviously the Cobra R driver/owner is one hell of a driver.

It was maneuvering. Watch the footage and you'll see he clearly had a huge gap between him and the pack he caught up to. Then it appeared he was slowly picking them apart. Look how hard that RX7 had to be pushed to stay in front. It even went off the track.....

wow cant believe nobody is commenting, this is some awesome footage, even if its a "lowly" mustang or american car, most of these cars are tucked away in a garage or museum. first video ive seen a Cobra R run with the big dogs.

One's a car with much easier handling characteristics, driven by a race instructor on a track he teaches on.
Versus
A car that is ridiculously difficult to extract 100% of its performance from even on a track, driven by, well, *not* a racing instructor.

that RX-7 wasnt at all stock either. if you watch the vid theres a part where fire pops out of its exhaust, which doesnt happen with a stock car
