Hey wat's up
I was hoping someone who reads this thread can give me advice on who or where I should sell an old 1986 Dodge Ram 100 to, in order to get the most profit, I know its not gonna get much, but I wanted more than the blue book value at least.
I've heard finding a collector to buy it is my best option.
I'd appreciate any help whatsover

A reserve^
And no offense, but, if it's not a pristine rare/special model, I don't think anyone would want to collect a 20 year old dodge truck.

sadly enough people do collect them, but usually from the 70's not the 80's

Right now ain't a very good time to sell a truck, and IMO a 1986 Dodge Ram 100 isn't exactly a collector vehicle. If it were me, I'd sell it in a local paper or maybe in Truck Trader.
What are the details on the truck?

Older trucks especially arent going to be popular with gas hitting 3 bucks a gallon.
New trucks are suffering, and they are more fuel efficent.
Find someone who wants it for the old-school value, otherwise it will not sell well.

Park it up at a shopping mall with a sign and the price you would like then write price neg. under that.

You won't get much for it. If it is in good shape then you might get someting for it since people like the "classic" look. I would never buy one... Maybe Paul Wall and alikes might make it a low rider, with airbags (pumps) and lots of chrome.
Anyway, try the local car magazine ( AutoFocus I think is one if it is supplied in your area ). Try the paper or just find a nice spot for it (mall parkinglots, store parkinglots, gas-stations, and anywhere you can get permission and is crowded.)

is there any websites that will let me post an ad for free.
I thought I might get more help if I posted stats
Mechanical: none really, except minor electric stuff (will be fixed)
Appearance: Reasonable, a few scratches here n there, surface rust obviously due to age, but no dents what so ever.
Mileage: a little over 130000
What else...
Oh yea just added new brake pads and forgot what it ma call it, its record is clean, no accidents etc.
Thanks

Cost of paper that you found the ad in: $1.50
Cost of plane tickets across the country to pick up your vehicle: $500
Cost of gas on a cross country trip: $400
1986 Dodge Ram with 130,000 miles: Priceless

less than that. My first car (1988 Ranger, 78,000 miles) was only worth $750. Then again, different cars.
