well at least ur not aiming low...
I just want to get better. my lines are sloppy now, since i havent been going on any drives since my last tickect. I'll always want to get better-and this will happen through practice. I havent joined any racing clubs or the SCCA, but i plan on doing both and going to tracks and morre mountain runs once i sort out my legal/money woes.

But driving for team Mitsubishi in the WRC wouln't be so bad either.

be a Test driver for some great company or for a car magazine/tv station. For a car magazine/tv station/Auto revier is pobably the best job because you don't just drive one type of car as if you were a subaru test driver, you drive them all. w00t.

for a while i wanted to be a test driver, 2 years ago I applied to Porsche UK and Porsche in Stuttgart, but i was too late for the applications, I also tried BMW, but they said I had to speak perfect german
I have however wanted to be a racing driver all my my life, and now armed with 1 and a half cars, i'm on my way to being a rally and track racer :) and a good friend who also shares the passion, (and shares my cars! until he is old enough to drive a car that he will buy and pass his test for public roads)... none the less, i trust him with them (stupidly maybe!)... soon, i shall have my competition license, and than all is good

how much of that made sense i wonder :-k its late and im tired :p

When I was more into cars, I always wanted to work on expensive cars until all their crap is run by electrical stuff and is really a pain to work on. This applies that I will never work on a 5.4 Triton f-150, POS!!! THe last 2 spark plugs on each bank is halfway under the windshield grill and is a fasdlmgkfasnd;l;fa;fans TO TAKE OFF. I just got the wratchet and threw it across the shop.

JGTC, D1GP Japan, V8 Supercars Australia, have all been in my dreams but at the moment it's to be a Lamborghini test driver or journalist for MOTOR magazine.

It seems everybody's ambition after all the different types of racing is to be a test driver.

Everyone is aiming so high, iv learnt to have low ambitions so u wont be dissapointed!! So im just gona stick with racing my '03 TM125 6 speed gearbox kart in the champs in Ireland, then c where that takes me... V8 supercars would be frickin sweet though!!

Yeah, with the fuel cell cars and everything. But as of now they can only go about 200 miles without filling up on more hydrogen.

But that technology still doesn't make sense to me...doesn't anyone remember what happened to the Hindenburg...? (hydrogen blimp...crash, burn, BOOM).

I think if you dont have high ambitions the chances of going to the top are less than aint having high ambitions...

Having ambitions is a positive thing. Sure the chances to be dissapointed are high but with that attidude, you wont get to the top..

Sometimes its good to be a failure...I know it sounds stupid..but if you aim never to fail and difficult circumstances arise you would not want to go into that circumstance because the fear of failure and most times you have to go through that circumstance to achive what you want....think carefully what I am saying,It makes sense.(I sound like Dr Phill)

Ever since I saw my first Episode of Top Gear, I knew I wanted to be a host on that show. Seriously, I think if I really worked my ass off, I could still do it. Since the show is now shown in America and such, they should have at least one American TV host so viewers can relate. It's be great. I'd put all those snobby Brits in their place.

But right now, I'm aiming at designing cars. Any car. It doesn't have to be a super car. Infact, I wouldn't really want to design a supercar. I'd rather design something for the masses. Something like the civic and such. Then, when I walk down the street, I could take great pride in my work, because it'll be everywhere.

Mopar, just to say i swear you could be a hell lot better than that annoying James May with his antique cars. OMG he's so annoying! He just doesn't fit in. Clarkson & Needel are the perfect fit cos it's like lil & large but NO I can't stand the other guy
and designing cras sounds very cool:d

and i just read you called us Brits snobby well ^^^

I'm taking an art class as of now. But that doesn't really matter. My plan to become a car designer? I want to go to the Art institute of Philidelphia. It seems rather easy to get into, and you don't really need to be an insane artist to get in. They teach you how to become a designer. I want to major in Industrial design, which is a 3 year course. After the three years, you get your BD. After that, I want to go to either an art school in Detroit or California (forget the names) for some graduate classes in transportation desgin. This will fine tune my skills towards automotive design, and since I'll have more school than most, it'll be easier to get a job.

The hydrogen technology is different. The Hindenburg had the hydrogen as a gas state. The hydrogen used in the cars is either liquid or in a solid form. It is still flammable but not any more than gasoline. :-k
