what an awful situation you are in - chosing which BMW you want - like chosing of you diamond shoes you'll wear.
You cant lose they are both fantastic cars - you got prices for them. The 330Ci will be down in price since its just been replaces - the new M3 hasnt been releaqsed.
Taking into consideration list prices id have the 330Ci - a bit mellower and it not like its slow - then there's the insurance and fuel savings.

But then again if you are going to tune it - then you problably have a few spare pounds - so then maybe the M3 is right for you!

Tell us the money that is involved i.e. prices of car, your insurance quote, the country you're in, your budget for the car and then budget you have for tuning.

i am in U.S now, the prices of the car is a kind of expensive here compare to U.K.
it's about 44gs for the 330ci, 57gs for the M3. the M3 has 333 hp 3.2 liter engin. but the 330ci has 225 hp and 3.0 liter engin that's a big difference. the cars look simlar. and i have the money for the car. i will try to budget to get the parts for the car. i was thinking about the 330ci jsut because of the price. but if i get the M3 it's a faster car to start with. and i dont' know too much about tuning BMWs so i don't know how much i have to spare for the tuning

The price of BMW's is fairly consistant here in America with those in the UK. If you assume every pound is about 1.5 dollars it comes out about the same.

If you have the money for the M3 and, if you where to buy a 330Ci and only go do it up anyway, then you'd might as well save yoursellf time and get the M3. - and at the end youll probably have a better performing car that youll still have a warrenty for + more street cred.

You would wanna wait for the new M3? - its just that when it comes out your new bimmer will fall by a few k in value :?

i took a look of the Supra the other day. and that thing is a monster. i like the look and the parts for it, and the 1200 HP :twisted: so 3 choices M3, 330Ci, or the Supra
one more car to choose from be4 i make my dection.

Unfortunately, as our friend and my compatriot NiGiz said, the M3 here in Greece costs about 100k euros (which is about 100k US $) and the 330Ci costs about 60k euros. There are not many people who can afford these cars here... Anyway, I'd definitely recommend the M3. :D

students having mercedes is much more common in my town. I've just lost my suprise when i see a new merc in the high school parking lot. But, i disagree with your statement. Not alot of people have 320's? Were do you live, alaska? I see tham way more often than M3's.

i am at SC. i was in Chicago, i just moved. man if you are at Jersy. u shouldn't be suprised by the BMWs and the Benzs. if you want go see them go to NY. they are more than the Hondas.

Yes, unfortunaly. I never liked these cars ("kouvades" :wink: ) and although i can afford one, i'm not going to buy it.

a Nissan Skyline GTR or a BMW M3

I would prefer the Skyline - but I cant see many people thinking that.

I just love the look of the Skyline (R34 in particular BTW). ANd then theres the amount of tuning ability, and the standard performace.

The M3 woudl probably be a classer option, better resale value e.t.c. So it would be the sensible offer (relatively).

So Id have the Skyline.
But r u not in america? - if so the Skyline should be alot mroe exxpensive than and M3 for you.

yea i am in American, but it's not really a big problem, because if you get the fully loaded BMW M3, it's almost as the same price as the Skyline, right? i havent' looked into it yet, but i dont' think it's going to be a big different. i just got into the skyline thing, i always hear people talk about it, but never cared, now i am getting a new car, thinking about one, just becaue they are so rare in US. and they look so damn nice. what do you guys think thx for the info

The good thing with the skyline is that it has very good tuning capabilities. With the right amount of money :? , u may get up to 1000hp. It has a very good 4wd, but the design...old, and not that badass like the M3.

yeah V12, it all comes down to what you wnat in the car. If you want great performance, good build quality, good image, reliablitiy and care free driving for a few years, buy the M3.
If you simply want amzing performance get the skyline - but be prepared for high maintainence bills/ alot of stress!

Either way post your car on the forum - because whichever one you get - itll be a cool car.

Almost same things with the Skyline. Greta 4wd, great tuning cap, incredible cheap interior, terrible design. All these compared to the M3 of course.

Mallon the Skyline is not a good looking car. It's design is ok, and maybe it's one of the most beautiful Jap cars. But it's nothing to good. It's just ok. For me. The M3 is much better.

I would easily get the supra, since it has the quality of toyota, since it is a very fast car, and since you can't go wrong with it. My uncle has an m3, and it is a nice car, yet a toyota supra turbo is way better, especially if you like speed. If I were you v12, I would have got the supra, but it's your decision.

v12, get the supra, my uncle's m3 is okay, but nothing compared to the toyota supra turbo. As I already said before, get the dang supra.

i think there have to be too much money to keep mantiance it. just like the other guys said that the cost of the turbos and stuff. i am sure the supra is good. but i have to keep the car in the shop for like half of the time. right?

Engine, suspension and brake upgrades. I'd pretty much leave it stock, however.

No offence but any rims larger than 17"-18" are totally useless... performace advantages stop at 18" and then you go purely for show-off purposes. Get some nice 17".

i use 16" with Pirelli PZero 225/45/ZR16(front) 245/45/ZR16 (back) on my car and do you relly need bigger?

cool i just got the 20" today and i put them on see how is looks. it looks really nice but i don't know how to post pics so sorry guys maybe i can sent to someone who knows how to do it. and the back tire is like 285/30/20. it looks really really nice. i wish you guys were here.

and i just spend like 5000 on a body kit and a wing. it should be here in 8 weeks. custom in Japan now.
