My friend has a honda civic lx with 75000 miles on it and it looking to trade it straight up for a fast car, the bluebook is around 8000, he'd be willing to throw in a little bit of cash too (2000) does anyone have any suggestions

Tell him to get a 944 Turbo (if you can, if not, a pristine N/A), or a 2nd gen. MR2 Turbo.

If he has money comming out his ears sure, if not dont. Insurence and maintainence would kill him.
