View Full Version : Miami Officer gets bored; Assumes Florida Highway Patrol wants to Play Cops N Robbers

So some Miami municipality officer, who apparently has no qualms about behaving like an asshole behind the badge, decided it was okay to bolt down the road at 120+ mph because he was late to a meeting at a school. The Florida Highway Patrol trooper was less than pleased judging by her reaction, which I would like to add I feel is 100% warranted.

See vid (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nq1sscJcZdA)

This brings up an issue that keeps rearing its socially awkward head. Just how ethically fit are the officers that protect us all when they find it okay to endanger others lives by speeding down the road in an effort to exploit the protective cocoon of law exemption that they typically enjoy?

I now its a generalization... but **** those guys..

they are supposed to be the role model that we all need to follow, and I have seen them pull some ****... that would have landed me a ticket at the very least, without a possibility of parole.

flashing that badge as if it puts them above the law.

/end rant.

Hey hey hey we are the ones who helped bush get a second term.... LOL anyways I ws suprised how the state trooper arrested the cop way to go. Freaking cops here are all wannabe football players that never made it and are now fustrated and use their badge to feel better. I used to work at a GNC way back and had cops come in all the time and heard that hsit they would say. Stuff like how they treatd such person when they pulled him over and thought it was funny.

^ yeah dude no kiddin. I want to get into law enforcement in the worst way, but the way that some officers conduct themselves is alarming.

I went on a ride along once with a state trooper, and in the barracks you should have heard what they were all saying. swearing up a storm, badmouthing everyone. Not good.

Not as bad as Oregon...

I did not hear about this on the news? Why the hell would they do something like this? Complete stupidity...

As someone in FL who is planning a career in law enforcement, I agree that these guys are douchebags that don't deserve to wear a traffic vest, let alone a badge. Buuut you get asshole cops everywhere, and no matter the profession there will always be people who exploit their position.

There are a lot of great officers here, too.

^so cause there are asshole cops everywhere, that makes it right? There should be no such thing as asshole cops. The title of law enforcement officer is one backed by honor, pride, and trust. Those people that do not possess the moral fiber to rise to those lofty standards should not be given a badge.

But unfortunately, yes, you are right; there are droves of officers that exploit their power wrongfully.

You're putting words in my mouth. I clearly said cops like this don't deserve the badge. The rest of my post was for the whole "Florida sucks" bullsh*t. No matter what the place, or the job, there will be people who abuse their power. Is it right? No. But pinpointing one case and ignoring the rest is ignorant and dumb.

Aaron, don't act like this is the only retarded thing people from Florida have done. More often than not, tales of the dumbest crap that happens in our country originates from Florida and you know it!

Now I'm not saying that EVERYONE from FL is inbred pond scum, I'm just saying that you and Coop are.

Well it was 138 on a 70mph highway. Very stupid yes and every time I go to the states I drive like a grandma now. I tried the "no spek English" trick in jail and they brought an Arabic speaking cop lol.

What were you doing 138mph in?

And you did this in Massachusetts....you poor man. Massachusetts State Troopers are jerks.

On topic, this policeman deserves to be suspended. Badge abuse is inappropriate in ANY context.

....turning to the car, way to go Crown Vic for cracking 120 :p

**** the popo

I can't tell you how much it enrages me to hear about **** like this, or beating and arresting peaceful protesters, or in general any use of force that is utterly unwarranted, including deadly force, which should be reprimanded significantly. who are they to be so important as to get of scot free for shooting and killing someone under the suspicioun of having a weapon?

I have to see a weapon, they have to be close enough to use it, and then I have to determine if they intend to use it on me or something I'm protecting before I can shoot. It's called the deadly force triangle, oppertunity, capability and intent, if they don't fulfill it I can't shoot, and if I shoot and they find otherwise? Down in rank, loss of qaulifications, possible jailtime depending on how at fault I am, dishonorable discharge, ect.

cops? sit behind a desk, for killing there own countrymen, whom there are sworn to protect.

in metaphorical scenario I'd be killing some random guy in other country. still a big deal, but ultimately, shouldn't be as big a deal.

whole damn countries not making any sense these days. drives me nuts. **** self entitled holier-than-thou cops. think they have a right to call the public "civilians" who the **** do they think they are?

to prove a point, woman cop sure was quick to pull her sidearm out...

I agree with pretty much your entire post.
Cops get away with sooo much more than soldiers do. And it sucks.
The FHP did a good job at whipping his ass. Because, the highway patrol doesn't have to give a sh1t what agency you work for, they are state police and can kick your ass if you are from Miami or the podonk Sheriffs office in some county on the Georgia border. It looked like she was pissed enough to shoot him. lolol
Good for her.

No alcohol over there. That must suck huh? So you are stationed there and then move into Iraq? Again, get a transfer to the fifth fleet

ChamoJB
Nov 01, 2011, 5:25 PM
dont forget we are pulling out of iraq by December. I also found out that before the war started it was written in "stone" that by November 2011 they would pull out. So this was by no means done by the president, no matter who was in office it would have occurred.

they are called shiites, and its not pronounced shits, its shia. Yep, one of america's biggest fails ever. they got rid of one maniac and the shiites took power and iran now control Iraq. because of that, i think thats the only reason why america stood with bahrain cause if it was to be taken over by iran, that would mean access to saudi and they dont want that to happen.

Back to topic, apparently that cop still has to go to court for his arrest.

There is no side as too radical. You can't generalise the whole group but the problem is when people become extremists, they get out of control. But the middle east has a majority of Sunnis and their dictators are sunni except for Oman. (talking about kuwait, saudi, bahrain, UAE, oman, qatar)they don't hate on others but recent actions and these Arab uprisings are just letting us be aware of Iranian influence here. If a high cleric told me to jump off a building, I would tell him to piss off. If iran's supreme leader tells someone to jump off a building, they will do it. it's happening in here right now. People doing wild stuff and throw themselves at riot control squads so they die and make the news and then they blame the government for it and wish death upon us or someone dies of natural causes and they go ahead and lie about it to the UN and say that the person was shot, poisoned, etc.

But then again, bin laden was a Sunni and the Muslim brotherhood are Sunnis and Hamas too but Hamas get financed by Hezbollah (Shiite Lebanese terror group that gets financial aid from Iran) but the saudi royal family did all they could to stop him and they have nothing to fear anymore. so back to your question, there are factions of radicalism within both sectors but if it were to come to it, radical Shiites would rather clash with Sunnis then anyone else and Sunnis would do the same IF there was war between both sectors.
