Forza Competition Challenge #4

Track: Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca



Rules:


-car raced must be completely stock
-you must take a picture of the tv screen in order to verify your lap time
-don't cheat, if you are found to be cheating, your time will be DQ'd
-winner receives choice for the vehicle in the next challenge
-2nd place receives choice for the track in the next challenge
-all decisions are made at my discretion
-you may post your lap times as you wish, but you must declare the lap time you are officially submitting along with an image

Time due by sometime this July I hope!

July 18th, that means I'll have two days to get a time in. This is assuming our 360 gets back while I'm gone next week though...

Oh, and good track choice, I've been running there a lot as of late, I should be able to get a real competitive time in.

I might push back the entry time if the turnout isn't good by then, but yeah I like Laguna Seca. This car also seems to be set up quite well for this track at least gear length wise. As the end revs match each corner before you have to slow down. :cool:

This is great! A pure test of driving skill, no tweaking cheats or mods.

Does everybody have ABS,ASR,TCS off, or is that personal Prefference?

OK, not an official time, but I'm pulling a 134.342.

I think 133.xx are very possible, mabey even high 132's.

OK 1.32 is a little beyond me but I think there is room for improvement.

32 laps. with the FF wheel, and ASR,ABS,TCS turned off. This car lets you trail brake with control. Also Brake early, before the crest at the top of the hill corkscrew. As you start into your left turn down you should be rolling on to the gas in 2nd.

Also turn on your Braking Line. This car can turn though a few feet of RED.

fronts 29
backs 30

That will put the tires around 32-33 psi at hottest.

Front will be 190 deg + or -
Back should be around 170 deg

Well, clutch has been surpassed BY far. I can only look forward to finishing 2nd from here on out.

out of those 32 laps (52 minutes) only 6 were below 1:35 and only two of those were under 1:34

I use the simulation damage for Tires and fuel setting. It is more realistic but, That means that after about 11 laps the fuel tank is at half (lighter car). You have to go in after 25 laps or so because the tires don't stick as well after 55% wear.

I also turn off the time for a few laps every so often, I wreck every time a green split time pops up.

Well, I had a 1:32.9xx going on a lap, but I messed up the corkscrew. However, I managed a decent lap anyways.

Well its by midnight in Hawaii tomorrow night. However, I can extend it to the end of Sunday if you need it.

That would be nice if you could, I should have time tomorrow, but I don't know yet.

I wish i could enter but ive gotten the three red lights.

We lower our heads, as another driver falls to the RED CIRCLE OF DEATH.

Ouch, I just got mine back wednesday from a red ring of death repair.

Oh, and I'm about to start my run now, I'll update my post when I get an official time.

And here it is, a 1:33.963! :D Very pleased with this time.
