It is a good car without a doubt, but i think it's very ugly. It costs 112.300 here in the Netherlands.
BTW, did you know BMW changed the name to 645i, without the C, because the C stands for Coupe. Since the 6-serie is already a coupe, the C in the name was not necessary.:D

I have to agree with that. Here in Croatia its base price amounts 109.312 and for that money I would rather buy a Mercedes-Benz CLK 500 Cabriolet, that would cost approximately 95.000 with some of the optional equipment or I would spend about a 5000 more and buy a Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet.

I'd get a used RS6 for that money, fast, comfortable, a lot of space, and it looks great.

What? Are you rather driving a Audi then a Maserati? And why do you have the Maserati trident as a avatar and not Audi?

Im not saying that, but with a Maserati i wouldnt be able to transport stuff etc(except the Quattroporte offcourse, but the old one is ugly, and the new one is more expensive then a 645i). But if i would have a lot of money there would be at least one ferrari and/or maserati in my garage;)
Andt the Maserati trident is from a photo i took myself from a Maserati Coupe Cambiocorsa a while ago.

I saw a black 645 convertable this morning while waiting for my bus, along with an R32 and a modded GTi.... anyway, it sounds good and does look good as it drives past, despite the mist coming from my cold breath getting in the way :p

My neighbor has a 645 convertible in black on black...Looks fine head on, from the side and rear, *makes vomitting motions*...Can't stand it...And for almost 90 grand here in America...I can think of tonnnnns of wayyyy faster cars with more usability and better looks.

Throughout BMW history, the "C" has stood for "2-door model" actually. They keep the "C" on for both the 645 coupe and convertible, as well as both the 325 and 330 coupe and convertible.
The 6-series is okay, but I'd much rather have a CLK55 AMG convertible - it's only $3000 more expensive and it's much quicker.

But on the 6-serie it will be changed, there aint a 6-serie with 4 doors, so it aint necessary to put it in the name.
I got several (Dutch) car sites to back this up. They change it at short notice. The new 630 will already be named 630i, and the 645Ci will be changed into 645i.
If there is anyone who can read Dutch, then read this: http://www.autoweek.nl/newsdisp.php?cache=no&ID=2832

A mom at school has one, black on black, it actually doesn't look too bad in person...much better than in pics. But that monstrous rear trunk lip is kinda ugly imo.

Hasn't happened here yet - though a 2005 model hasn't come out yet. In fact, I'm staring at an official press release (staring is the operative word - it's been a long day) that says 645Ci on it in several places.

I seriously like them. I like even more how cheap their gonna be in 15 years cause of their styling.

Don't bet on it - it's still a BMW.

I've been looking at Merc SECs and old 6 series and they both have plumeted from 100+ price tags (the bigger engined SECs 200+) so with styling that will not make them a classic i thing the arse will fall out of prices after they're cancelled

Old 6-series are ... old. Even the 8-series, which everyone regards as a failure, is still being sold at absurd price premiums. $100,000+ cars ALWAYS depreciate fast; it's a different story if you're selling in the $70s.

But remember this is in aus, different market, different prices.
When a price is quoted in Australia for a car, does it include taxes and registration?
In Europe, prices are "on the road" - quoted with a full tank of gas, taxes, registration - so people think cars depreciate more than they do.
Might be slightly irrelevant. :D

It varries alot, if they don't say on the road, it could go either way
