I just read about it then on WCF. (http://www.worldcarfans.com/9080807.005/pininfarina-ceo-dies-in-road-accident)

Really sad news as the company designed some really nice cars that no doubt he was part of.

The succesor is expect to be named today in a company statement.

Terrible accident; and it saddens me that this great man is no longer 'here'.

So, to the man who oversaw the Birdcage, GranTurismo, Quattroporte and 599GTB, rest in peace.

Thats terrible man. A great man like himself... Gone. Well, my condolences out to his family and to Pininfarina, this man helped to create some amazing looking concept and production vehicles...
R.I.P Mr. Pininfarina

You can die a hero, or live a villain.

Or in styling terms, you can die as a Pininfarina, or live on as a Bangle. I know which I would pick.

Man oh man, this is a big loss in the automotive industry in my book. Pinninfarnia has crafted some of the most beautiful bodies of all time, and this man made sure that even today that trend would continue. Thoughts go out to his family and friends.

He designed some of my favorites.

Many of these samples in my eyes are works of art, even though to most of you, they may not be. Im the old sk00l guy, these are just pure sex to me.

And I even think this one is pretty cool in its own sense.

Ahh, no.

This guy was one of my faved car designers. Made the most beautiful cars.

The Ferrari Barchetta Pininfarina was one of the first cars, that I've admired from him.

Dammit, and out of the the Holy trinity of Italian design (Pinninfarina - Bertone - Zagato), Pinninfarina was definetely my favorite.

A great loss to the world of automotive design.

Rest in Peace, artful one.

To be fair, he isn't responsible for most of the cars listed thus far. His influences started in 84, and I would think basically all post 2001 models got his approval.

You can find them here.

Nevertheless, this man has created beauty out of machinery and will be missed. Pinninfarina will continue on of course.
