3. 1 year and two months.
4. Yes.
5. Depends on what 'better' is.
EDIT: 5. No. If anything, it's a bonus because I know they're trying absolutely as hard as they can to make a car that people want, at a price that people will like.

21, male, whatever she says we are
1) Reliability and performance. Fuel economy isn't a huge concern for me (at the moment).
2) Nissan S14 200SX
3) 9 days
4) Yes. She's marginally more reliable than my previous car.
5) No; I don't see how a manufacturer's financial issues should be a reason to not buy a (new) car. A good product is a good product, and once you've bought it that's the end of the story. As long as they upheld the warranty for the full length I agreed to at purchase, then I would be happy.

5. The ONLY reason I would buy an american car would be something that is rare here like a new Mustang or a Camaro, or old classic muscle cars. And it would HAVE to be a V8. With what I have experienced of American cars the quality just isnt up to that of the cars we have here...

5. If I felt comfortable behind the wheel and driving it. But the problem with so many American cars is that they feel like fleet or rental cars on the interior. And I dunno about you, but I spend the most time inside my car and that needs to be up to snuff. At any rate, I'll consider and test drive any car; I'm not a badge snob.

1. When you first decide to buy a car, what do you look at first? (Gas Mileage, Performance, Relability, Features, Saftey etc.)
gas mileage, reliability, safety. I started to look for a car in late spring of 2005. I got my 2001 honda civic ex coupe in the beginning of that summer. I was also looking into the 2001 prelude, and 2000 civic Si. But the insurance on these cars is insane for a 18 year old to insure. :(
2. What kind of automobile do you own? (Make and model please)
see above
3. How long have you had your vehicle?
since summer of 2005
4. Would you consider your car to be reliable? Yes or No
yes its reliable, its a honda duh.
5. Would feel uncomfortable buying an American Car due to GM's, Ford's and Chrysler's current predicament? No i wouldn't feel uncomfortable. If I had the money to by a new mustang gt, and had the money to buy gas for it I would get it in a heart beat.

1. Fun-to-drive, gas mileage...everything else comes afterwards.
2. Currently a 2007 Honda Fit, 1998 Honda Accord LX--Previously owned a 2006 Accord SE and a 1991 Civic Si hatchback
3. The Fit since April 2006, the Accord since 2002. Sold the SE Accord a few months ago, and the Civic a number of years ago.
4. They were/have been very good cars. No major problems in any, and one ('98 Accord) has over 100,000 miles, and another ('91 Civic) had almost 200,000.
5. I wouldn't feel uncomfortable buying an American made car for the reasons listed. They are fine automobiles for most folks. Unfortunately, I find them incredibly un-appealing for the most part, and if you couldn't tell, I'm sort of brand-loyal.
