View Full Version : Teen Lands Brand-New BMW M3 into a House

This is what you get when you buy a totally immature and unskilled 19-year-old a brand new BMW M3; he picks up a couple of friends and decides to unleash all 414 ponies in a residential area with catastrophic results. Luckily, aside from a few bruises and scratches, no one was seriously injured during this incident. The kids however fled the scene as soon as the M3 landed on its side in front of the house, only to be caught shortly after by the cops. It just makes you wonder what goes on in the parents’ heads when they decide to adorn their teenager’s garage with such a powerful car like the BMW M3.http://www.imageshack.gr/files/ew648lodxsnkzj6zpm8l.jpg (http://www.imageshack.gr/view.php?file=ew648lodxsnkzj6zpm8l.jpg)

What the hell has gotten into people these days. They must begin to realize that a car works best when all four wheels are on pavement, not flying through the air.

I hate hearing about stuff like this and I despise it when articles are written like this.

It's retarded ass bullsh1t like this that makes sensible young guys (LIKE ME) have put up with car insurance that's priced totally out of reach, and no one gives a **** because asshat news outlets like this take every phukking opportunity they can get to criminalize and demonzie youth, when ANY idiot could have done this.

^ Amen to that. Of course there are ways around high insurance costs, but that still costs you money. It is practically profiling how they handle car insurance, which to me isn't right.

I think car insurance should be given out on an individual basis, but lord knows that isn't gonna happen. They're just gonna keep taking money from the people who drive safely and give it to the retards that keep wreaking their cars.

Hey corny, I'm with you, but I've noticed twice lately that you have added that pseudo f bomb into unnecessarily. it's fine to just spell it out, and have it censored by the word filters, but to work AROUND the word filters just to add unnecessary expletives to your post, well it counter act's your argument of you being a sensible guy.

I'll show you what I mean.

It's it's ridiculous situations such as this that makes sensible young guys (like me) have put up with car insurance that's priced totally out of reach, and no one cares because every news outlet like this take every possible opportunity they can get to criminalize and demonize youth, when ANY idiot could have done this, regardless of age.

Now I'm sure your just angry, but I'm fairly sure you're near my age, and should be pretty used to this by now. We are the youth. They envy us, but are too proud to admit it, and thus they DO demonize us for their own selfish purpose of trying to put US down in a pathetic attempt to uplift themselves and make it look as if they aren't just as bad as we are.

he's just joking, but i understand thoroughly what your mean. I've been trying to transcend the age barrier of being thoroughly disrespected simply due to my age and becoming something of an equal for years over years. I've earned the respect of those who know me, but nothing could convince my insurance company that I'm a good guy. statistics are hard to over come. damn stereotypes and generalizations have that minute issue of typically being true, and for insurance companies to make a dollar they've got to rape those they can AND cover all their bases. sucks for us, but so long as they make money thats all that matters.

I would imagine insurance on younger guys is more expensive because younger guys get into HELLACIOUS accidents WAY more often than older folks!

I don't give a rats ass what any of you guys say, teenage drivers are the worst. If you have TWO teenage guys in a car, just prey to god they don't happen across any other teenager or some **** WILL go down. Yes, teenage girls suck total ass too, and I think they should ALSO get charged like crazy as well, because once again, they are teenagers.

Now I'm not saying that older folks don't suck at driving, because the odds are just way higher for dumb ass teens to drive like complete maniac's without ANY skill at all.

Now teens, remember that while you are writing your flame responces, realize that no matter what you say, I REALLY don't give a ****. Have a nice day :D

Seriously though dude, you seriously can't say that teen drivers IN GENERAL <--KEYWORD are better or even AS GOOD as older drivers. That's why insurance is higher.

Car_buff
Jul 30, 2008, 4:45 PM
you cant say say that older drivers cant be just as bad, and that you LOVE to think all younger people are horrible drivers, and hell, horrible people in general

if you read one of my earlier posts I stated that statistically we do suck, you I've answered your question before it was even posed.

that however, was NEVER my point. point is I am personally tired of being ragged on for my age. I have never been cited, ticketed, nor even pulled over. the only accident I've been involved in was when someone ELSE (a man in his mid 30's) rear ended ME on the clock, in a company vehicle. if there's ever a good time to be a good driver it's then, but that man failed to do so.

so **** me very kindly if I'm a little pissed of at being entitled with the same reputation of 95% of the people my age, which I'm technically in like the 99th percentile

Evo_power
Jul 30, 2008, 5:06 PM
And you have every right to be pissed off. I was raggedly pissed off just 3 years ago as well. Teenagers DO get a bad rap because there a bunch of bad eggs who can't drive for crap and should honestly be beaten for their complete disregard for human life. HOWEVER, I WILL admit that there is also a very large portion, I would say definitly over half for sure, maybe even over 75% that do drive very well, and are better drivers than 95% of everyone else out there on the road, and unfortunately because of their age, get lumped into the poop group because of the horrendous drivers that are in that age.

BUTTTTT....in what...ONE year, you'll be 20 and you won't have to deal with the bullshit of being a teenager. You can offically say, I'm NOT a teenager, THEY all suck! Unfrotunatly insurance doesn't go down for another 5 years after that...pretty weak...but at least you won't be a teenager and you won't have to get offended any time I go on and rant about teenagers being the scourge of our country as we know it.

OH, and I will admit that older drivers CAN definitly be WAYYYY worst than teenage drivers. BUT, in GENERAL <--KEYWORD AGAIN, teenage drivers are worst than older drivers.

More money than sense + a driver who has watched to many car chases on tv + a powerful car = a idiot wrecking a M3.

I read on wreckedexotics.com that (i think) polish drivers are only alowed a car with upto 106bhp tops.

I think he needs that law for himself.

I suppose on his own he would be more sensible, add a mate or 2 and your asking for trouble. I somehow expect his parents to be a little (actually make that incrediblly) furious at him for what he has done.

Shame to see such a nice car in a nice colour being wrecked by a idiot.

My baby sis was a competitive ice skater. Ice time is cheaper duriing the day. She went to a private school 1 year that had a schedule for athletes in training. She told me one kid alternated Fridays driving his dad's 308 or his 930.

I like my friend's comment upon hearing this: "My kid will edge my driveway with manicure scissors before he drives my Porsche or Ferarri!"

A local syndicated radio talk jock says it much more rudely: "Parents; save that college fund money for a big boat in the Carribean! Buy your teen a high performance car and then bury them. It's much cheaper."

That is exactly why it's their fault. They are parents. They have responsibilities to protect their children from endangering themselves and others. I blame the parents more than the kid. Yes, the kid is stupid, but most of us are for a while... then we grow up (most of us). Fortunately, that kid lived to get the opportunity to grow up and realize how dumb he is. His parents though? Likely not any hope for them. Useless.

@Carbuff and Corn, I share the same frustrations as you guys. I don't drive like an idiot, I know how to drive well on the road, in fact probably better than half of those soccer moms do but I still pay way too much for insurance. They go by statistics. It's fact that most accidents occur with people our age, so they charge everyone in our age group more. What I love is how they demonize youth, but fail to understand that the way young people act reflects how well the adults/parents did with raising their kids. If so many young kids get killed in car accidents maybe their parents sucked ass. Some people are just reckless by nature, but come on, we all know that most mothers don't stay home with their kids... they put them in a daycare. That's not good parenting. So if we suck, then chances are it's because they suck too. rofl. Also, I've been taking a driving school to lower my insurance rates and I realize how absurd the speed limits are in many cases. It's painfully slow to do 5 under or even the speed limit exactly in lots of areas. To the point where a Mack dumptruck with a trailer pulled out to pass me. They never give people sh1t for puttering along at these speeds and holding up traffic because, hey, it's the "legal limit". But the fact is, if you drive at 5 under or right on the limit you create road rage. I realized how stupid it was to do 25mph where everyone was doing 35mph when that Mack passed me. If a truck can safely speed in certain areas then I think a car can do a bit over...parents probably dont even know how powerful this car is.. its not their fault. stupid kid though lolz they probably saw the nice rims and wrote out the cheque.

Yeah, on the subject of whether or not teenage drivers are worse than everyone else:

Here's what I know for sure.

1. Seniors are technically more likely to get into an accident than male teenagers. Yet, not only do they not get raped, they get a discount.

2. I can't really judge how badly teenage drivers suck, because insurance for teenagers around here is so stupidly high, I never see any on the roads.

3. Just because there are no teens on the road doesn't mean this is a lovely place to drive, because it isn't. The idiocy and inconsiderate nature possessed by 98% of the people on the road is pathetic, and the lack of skill they have all becomes immediately apparent when the road gets snowy/icy/rainy/mildly windy. And again, none of these people are teenagers, because they can't afford insurance.

4. Lancer_Evo, you said it yourself very recently, "EVERYONE SUCKS AT DRIVING!"

EDIT: 5. Oh, and around here, I don't stop being a wreckless murdering teenager until I'm 25.

Well to the disapointment to many but to they safety of many they should have a horsepower age limits

for example:
16-20=0-250 hp
21-25=0-350
26-*=0-whatever

unless racing professionally or legally.

this would save so many lives including the guilty and the innocent but many people would be very angry...

Also, I can't understand this sometimes. Why? Let your child drive your $50,000-$60,000 M3 (even if you can afford it). You know what? This wouldn't necessarily work. You'd be amazed at how few horsepower it takes to kill yourself and others. While this may help some it will really be up to the parents to make sure that their kids learn to be responsible drivers.

On a side note, I'm 20 and have a 227 horsepower car, so it wouldn't affect me...

EDIT: Just realized my roommate, who is also 20, has a 263 horsepower car. He would not agree. Haha.

Realistically, though, you can't just base this on the horsepower, either. 250 horsepower in a del Sol is going to be significantly more lethal than 250 horsepower in your grandpa's hand-me-down Grand Marquis.

The parents weren't driving the car doofus. Yeah, we can blame the parents some, it is THEIR child who is an idiot and they didn't instill a large enough sense of responsibility. But we can blame them only a little bit more than we can blame Fast and the Furious, or Bullett, or Initial-D, or BMW! Passing the buck is great and all, but the majority of the blame rests solely on this kid. He's the one that at any time could have NOT driven his car into a wall. There's a right and a wrong place to dump the accelerator. You never go fast on a sidestreet for 2 reasons. 1 if you lose control there's no room to correct it. 2 there's parked cars on the street and you never know who might open a door or come running out from behind a car. you don't wanna be doing 50mph when that happens.

He also did it at night time. The ground is cooler and you will have less traction, you won't be able to see as well, if the air has any moister it will accumulate on the ground easier, it's just a BAD time to do that crap.

It's one thing to go out to some middle of nowhere straight stretch with NOTHING around you, and an entirely different thing to do that crap in a residential neighborhood.

Hands down, the parents should be put to blame and should fully have to foot the bill. This will hopefully make them angry enough to sit down with their child and talk to them about driving. The kid isn't going to learn anything by getting a fine for reckless driving or paying for the damages. They would just that there are monetary consequences. (In their rich and paid for lives it would just be a little notch in the checking account)

A long and strict talking to by the parents would be sufficient enough. (including suspending the teen's license for 12 months) Take the bus fool.

I can pretty confidently say that I am one of the better drivers on the road though which occasionally will happen to be a teenager.Yeah im almost to the two year mark myself. 0 accidents, been pulled over twice because I had two ballasts on my p46 go out and DDM takes about 2 weeks to get a replacement. 0 speeding tickets though

Poor M3?

Are you guys serious?

BMW flog out thousands of these every year, it's only a piece of metal that can be instantly replaced.

I really wouldn't be worrying about the car, but more how we're gonna fix that person's drive and how much of a fine we're gonna give to the family that's responsible.

Drive ways are a BIT easier to replace than M3's. Not only that, but BMW is only going to make a limited number of that particular model M3. Now the number may be QUITE large, but still, every time someone wrecks one, there are take many fewer for YOU if you REALLY wanted one later down the road. I am personally running into this problem with the E36 M3. There aren't a TON left and most of the ones that are for sale have WAY too many miles on them or aren't in very good condition.

Just think, if this kid buys another M3, it might have been bought by a fine older gentleman who takes very good care of his cars, and later sells it because he is an oldy McOlderson, and he sells it to YOU. BUT, because this kid has it, the older guy buys something else, and you get screwed!

I know it's a long shot...but STILL!!!
