Wow.. this is why it's important to have a basic knowledge in cars. I feel terrible watching it. That poor mechanic was crushed because the guy had no idea what he was leaning on.

Oh fvck ....
That hits home. I spend SOOO much time under my cars with jacks, jack stands, yet I never feel 100% safe.
There was a guy near my house that was working on his car earlier this year and the jacks went south and crushed him. Too real, it happens too often. Really hits home despite the retard that leaned on the handle.

That is an example of why you use jackstands. NEVER climb under a car that is raised up by only a jack.
On the news about a week ago they ran a story of a man who was crushed under a VW New Beetle. Surprisingly, four women lifted the car off of him and he wasn't injured, despite the fact that he had one of the wheels removed where he was working. They showed a shot of the scene afterwards, and that dumbass was using the scissor-style jack that came with the car.
