i think thats the XC90 you're tal;king about Schumi?
mine would have to be:
Range Rover (Overfinch Preferably) by quite a large margin.
Porsche Cayenne (Dont like them generally but it still would be a good SUV)
Cadillac Escalade
Lastly but only if i had millions of pounds to waste a Lamborhini LM 002 (bigger than a Hummer i believe!)

Thanks for the pics Alfa, i kind off forgot how the Kamal looked like :) . It's nice, you don't see many SUV with smooth lines like this one. I like it way better than the Cayenne, that's just a 911 with a more high ground clearance.

Aug 14, 2003, 5:07 PM
PS, Alfa, you don't like the colour? I like the colour, i like it very much :) . I think this, red and black would be the best choise for this Alfa.

Yes, it's really nice :) . I especially like the rear, i think it looks kind if agressive :? . I maybe even think it's the best European SUV.... But i'm not sure yet. I like the Audi Quarttro Pikes Peak and the Volvo XC90 as well.

The Alfa SUV was pretty cool looking and I admit the Durango is kinda practical as well as the VWs latest entry. Theres a handful of "Lux" SUV's that aren't tooo bad. Everything else is pretty gawdy, useless, gas guzzling, oversized, "My car is bigger so its better", accident prone peices of automotive filth I've ever had the misplearuse to share the road with. All that is, was, and will ever be needed in that market are Jeeps and Land Rovers. Everything else is just wasting space, lives, gas, money, and R & D time. We need to get ourselves off this horrible SUV addiction, all around the world, though America is the prime consumer.

Raith has said it nice.
Anyway, I hate all SUVs, but if I was forced to have a favourite, it would be the Porsche Cayenne Turbo.

Kamal is really nice!!!I loved it! :D Yes the Volvo that I wrote is XC70.Very nice SUV for me!The SUV that I disslike most is the new Volkswagen.Guh,really ugly! :?
I'd have to go with a Cadillac Escalade. You don't even have to try pimping the car, it does it on its own.

I don't really agree, they are really safe now, they are gas guzzlers, but so are sports cars, and they are handy, you dont like to go to the mountains with friends.......i do, i go every months, my dad's expedition is great, not the best offroader because of the size, but in big places with mud, water or snow it's really powerful, and i have got up to 4300mts, and most of the jeeps and mitsus are loosing power up there, their offroading ability is better but their engines start to die up there, lots of steam, while the expy is fine, the interior is warm and roomy, and chics love the car 8) 8) .
I don't think the millions of buyers getting those cars are wrong.

I must say Raith is right about one part, we do need to get of this SUV rage. I keep seeing them more and more. I'd rather see more sedans, sportscars or anything else in that direction. But i don't think it's a serious problem. Not all people are supercar-lovers like us, you know  8) .

I agree. Most people owning a SUV, use them for just showing off ( while they aren't that good looking. ), or for the space.

Space?? There is more than enough space in a sedan (saloon).
And driving position?? It's not so nice being high... the vehicle gets a steep angle at turns and you are afraid that it might turn upside down!

Are you serious, not even 7 series is roomy enough for 5 passengers, if you have bigger family than that, it's degrading to travel all cramped up inside, i'd rather slow down on curves (which is not really needed anymore) than be cramped up in a saloon for a 500 mile travel, i guess in europe you dont travel too much, when i was in switzerland, people got stressed when there where like 15 cars on the traffic, here things are different, and distances are bigger, americans (i'm not one but il live here) travel a lot, with friends, kids, and even pets, so they need space.

I'll agree that most Sedans aren't large enough for a family of 5 if the kids are older than say, 16-17ish. But you don't need to go up to a freaking SUV! Anyone heard of MINIVANS!?!?!?!?! They are made for the EXACT purpose of hauling large familys around with lavish comfort and fuel economy MILES ahead of hulking SUVS. They are cheaper and take up less space. Your going to have to give ALOT better rational exlpaination for WHY SUVs are so f*cking useful to EVERYONE that buys them.

Eh? Okay, sorry, I'll look those up, not familiar with them. In America there are currently the Ford Windstar, Merury Villager, Kia...something, Nissan Quest, Chevy Venture, Chrysler Town & Country, Honda Odessy, and Toyota Sienna available(there's ALOT to choose from! sorry if I missed any). Next Year Ford switches to it's Freestar model and Mercury will put out the Monterey. I'll post again when I check out the vehicles you named.

Hmm, they're all apparently called MVP's. Thats fairly close to a Minivan. Minivan is more like a VW Euro Van than anything you mentioned though. MVPs's seem to be a good deal smaller than what I'm reffering to.
PS By the way, what does MVP stand for?

It's MPV, and it's Multi Purpose Vehicle. Other known mini-vans are Renault Espace, Citroen C8, Peugeot 807, Lancia Phedra, VW Touran, VW Sharan, Seat Alhambra.

Heehee, I totally mixed up the letters. MVP is some baseball award or something. Okay, Multi Purpose Vehicle makes sense.
Yeah, If people leave thier SUVs in good condition, thats just prolonging the ugly cycle of thier lives. I'd wish people would drive them badly so they would all become scrap metal, like they should be :P
