My friend's dad is selling one of the Bugatti's he has restored to mint condition. I thought i'd post it up here as I know we have different traffic passing through this part of the site!

Its a Supercharged Bugatti Type 35 . That is all I know, I do not know the year, the spec (35A, B etc etc) but if there is any interest from anyone reading this article, I work with my friend so I see him every day and I can easily get detailed specs on the car. I know the price, but if you need to ask it, then you seriously cannot afford it!

This is my friend who races and drives his dad's Bugatti 37 Grand Prix car all over Europe (gets used a lot and driven hard, its quick for sure! I can vouch for that, I have a video I took from the car which shows it :p). And since my friends dad's business is classic Bugatti's I can assure you it is has been made to the highest concours condition and best levels of technical engineering.

These are a couple of pics I took of the car last September when I was at his parents house where the work is carried out on the cars. The car has been finished since those pictures and it is simply stunnig, looks gorgeous now!!

And this was one of the other cars undergoing restoration, I saw it 2 weekends ago and it was painted a lovely deep shiny black, looked simply stunning, 1 very lucky owner getting his Bugatti back soon!

I never realised of the resemblance of the wheels on the Type 35 and the Veyron. Really nice car. Why and for how much is he selling it?

What type of brakes are those? The resemble an early drum brake but its hard to see.

well my friends Bug' 37 is 1927 I think he told me once, so whatever racing cars used for brakes in the mid 1920's I would guess!!

And the cost depends where you are in the world, here it is for sale at £500k, but in the US thats edging close to $1 million

the reason for sale is it was a ground up restoration rebuild, using original parts where available and hand built parts to replace those not available anymore, and now it is complete it must be sold to make space for another one to take its place!
The body is still hand painted as it was in the 1920's, and it is finished immaculately, attention to detail is spot-on with his work

I guess the question is in the pic where the car is finished, at least painted, I see a lever on the right side that loooooooooooks a bit like a hand brake lever. That would make driving extra fun in my book.

Yes, the gear stick is the shorter handle near the body work and the longer one is the hand brake ;)
They use straight-cut gearboxes and the whole set-up is supposed to be quite easy to drive - I will find out later this year hopefully in the 37 :D

When I first saw the thread title I thought, "I''m going to have to close this thread because there is no way this is real, it has to be a scam or advertising."

Wow, was I wrong! Awesome car, great restoration!

If you know much history of this car, you'll get my name. :) What a gorgeous car! If its' built to original spec, it would have to be 1926+ iirc. The 35C is when the supercharged version first showed up. Any pics of the straight-8?

Now there is a car I would be willing to sell one kidney, a couple of limbs, some toes, half a lung, and maybe be able to put the rest on a credit card.

Very nice car, not a big fan of the yellow, but wow.
