dang, this is tough, very very tough, but i'm leaning towards the jag, mainly because of looks

They're functional...

Jaguar alllll the way, didn't like the 6 series styling as is, and put it up next to my favorite looking car out there now, or one of the top 3, and it's a no brainer. Jaguar allll the way.

I like the BMW for the stylish looks, and the performance

I would have to go for the BMW - for several reasons.

- It's more distinctive looks.
- The fact that i can get a manual one (the Jag only comes in auto).
- More power and torque (available at lower revs aswell).
- Newer technology (is it not true that the XK8 sits on the old XJS chassis of 25 years ago?).
- What i would imagine to be a better ride & handling package.

Just my two cents :)

You know, i think i'll go with the 645ci on this one. As long as it's the cabriolet. It's so long and cool looking. Like i've said so many times before, i dont like the dated look of the XK series. It's just old.

The around the same price i'll take the Maser Spyder...but we're not talking about that.

I agree, the XK looks and is dated. Even with the 22'' wheel option and 'facelift'. An old car is still an old car.
But IMO it's still on of the better looking cars on the road.

On the other hand. the BMW is a new car with the latest technology. IMO, i dont really like the 645's Taxi back. I like everything except that.

So, my vote goes to the BM (although the styling still isnt my type)

Out of these two cars I would definitely take the Jaguar, because it looks much better than the BMW, but I would rather have the Mercedes CLK 500 than the one of them.

Hahaha
I'm wrong about the 22''
but my first comment on the maser is 100% justified.
I checked the prices before posting...
down here the
XK8 Convertible is $216,000 and a Maser Spyder is $218,000

6 coupe for me. Great performance for the kind of car it is, and it's not as "snobbish".. at least IMO. Quality ought to be good too.

Awesome comparison igaboj...I really can't pick between the two

But i'd say the xk...just b/c that 6 ass is just plain fugly. I'm also not quite fond of all the recent BangleMobiles, and the 6 is no exception

I think the 5's design has grown on me. I used to hate it but now i accept it. Still no beauty tho.

Same here, I dont like the back of the 6. reminds me of a taxi with ads attached onto it.

XK8? I'd rather have the XKR, but I dont think I would ever buy the current model, its over 12yrs old cos its based on the old jag XJ.
