We got the interest lets begin the sign ups. If every one who is interested would please sign up and list their car specs-Car name drive type etc: that would be great. Also every thing for this will be held with in this thread. When you give your time, so just make a post here, give the week, car type and time. Look to my post for the outline. First the rules for car selection

You can you any car but it must meet these restrictions:
1: Drivers must use manual transmissions and be in A Spec Mode
2:Cannot be a prize car, you must buy it either old or new.
3:No cars are to exceed 500 HP for this league.
4:Production cars only, no race cars. **Exotic sports cars are not race cars. If your car has a number on it, its probably a race car**
5:All cars will use medium soft race tires.
3:No nitrous. This is not fast and the furious. If you want that go play NFS carbon
6:Any tuning and tweeking is allowed as long as your car stays below500 HP, meet the tire regulations and do not use nitrous **501 is over 500 so pick your tuning wisely**

1:All times need to have a photo with it. Either use a cell phone and email it to your self or use a digital camera, w/e
2:All members must utilize sportsmanship. Any unsportsmanlike conduct will result in a deduction of points for the first offenses.
3:No cheating. If it is found out you are cheating your ass will be thrown out. If your ego cant handle a bruising then again, go play NFS carbon.

Races will run from Friday 8 am Eastern Time in the United States to Thursday at 8 pm Eastern Time United States. The next day the next track will start.

We will start out with an easier faster track. People can begin putting up Times tomorrow. You are getting these few extra days to make a decision on what car you will run with and how to best tune it to your specifications. I will set up the racing schedule with in the next few days.

Points are going to be giving to the top 8 times like this: 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

When you say "tuned cars must stay below 450 hp" does that mean any suspension, gear ratios, etc. to our car of choice are included? What if the car is still under 500 HP?

i think you can tuned your cars with suspension, weight reduction, nos, etc... as long you have under 500 hp right?

EDIT - as a side note, I think we should use standard sports tyres and not racing slicks and I think players shoud be aloud to use the automatic box too, some players are not confident enough to use the manual...

I have only dabble with manual so I would be testing the waters, I just remember people being worried it would be less skill and more just a HP beast of a car. If enough people want auto too I think that would be fine.

There is no cap on Money$. I made a mistake in the last thread. Your car just has to fit the race restrictions. And again i saw some one mention nitrous, there is no nitrous or nos allowed ;)

Yeah sMi.rnoff it's a 350Z and it has the same horsepower as I stated 486 HP. We are using the medium racing tire compound correct?

ok my car is a mazda spirit r type a fd3s rx7. 496 hp.

I know but its been a busy week. Had a huge job interview, been working on my car with my uncle trying to find this dam oil leak. GOt my oil changed two weeks ago, and it was all gone yesterday, plastered all over the undercarriage of my neon.

I might change my car, if thats fine with ppl. I have like 5 different Elise, and it hit me that I want to try something new and drive a car I have never driven before.

I think I might be using my BMW 330i. It currently has 407bhp, but I'm no where near getting Koenigseggfan's time of 1:12. The best ive got so far is 1:19.

practice, or you could change your car. try the M3 coupe? the M5 is nice too but it already has a massive amount of HP and its heavy

question: does the opera performance s2k qualify? if not thats ok. its only .697 seconds faster than my fd. so far my best time is 1:10.887 with the fd. ill post a pic when i get a better time.

Well, the Zonda just broke the 1:10 barrier, lol.
(yes, there is a Zonda you can get under 500hp - the C12; mine has 498hp!)

For a while I was worried - only getting mid teens, then I realised you could use "medium racing tires". I was on Medium sports.

I've shaved roughly 2 seconds off of my previous time and broke into the 1:10 second area. I'll post a picture tomorrow after I attempt to shave another .8 to one second off of my current time.

That's the only way to drive on GT4 for me anymore. Those systems just hinder the driving ability of both the car and driver.

Could i use the BMW M5.

They only problem is that when in the showroom it says 499bhp but when purchased it says 508bhp.

Is it allowed desipte the misleading of power?

I think there is probably another second to 1.5 seconds left that you could shave off.

i can only just scrape into the low 1min 31 in my TVR. Is it me or is the TVR a little twichy and a bad choice for laguna seca as it feels like it dosen't like the corners.

Corner 1 is fairly straightforward if you get the braking point down then it's just a matter of blipping the throttle and gunning it out of the corner. Turn four is a do or die corner for the run up the hill (can't really give you any hints there). Turn five on occasion the car meets the rumble strip or whatever you call it. The corkscrew is just a matter of getting the car settled after the S-bend (I've had some very nice spins thanks to that bit).

For the next track I think we should do Tsukuba but it should be in the wet. It is a track that will allow drivers skill to shine

I only suggested this track as a challenge to the driving skills of everyone participating. Smirnoff still hasn't given the seal of approval for this track for Round 3.

oh im gonna work on my lap time i been busy so i havnt tried much lol. 1 21 somethin. how the heck did you get a 350 z to do that fast?!!! i tried a few cars and i could only get 1 23 outta that thing!! maybe im not as good as i thought lol

I was running 1'22 - 1'23 on my first few laps and discovered that the chassis was not responding like I wanted it to. I went to the parts shop and found the chassis needed to be refreshed for some reason. After that I tweaked the suspension to where I could turn in easier which resulted in more speed.

Hey every one I am so sorry I fell of the planet. I had to go out of town for an emergency and when I got back my internet was down. I will get these laguna times set up asap, adjust the scores and get a new track up all by midnight tonight.

Rden Moto I have ran an RX-7 just like yours on Laguna Seca (for kicks) and I ran a 1'20.257. Now the only problem with that is I did that time with NOS after I could not go any faster without it. Granted I did not do a whole lot of suspension tuning but I did use my suspension setup off of my Z. This worked out a lot better than I originally thought the car turns well into corners, throttle can be applied practically after you let off the brakes and the speed is impressive.

I do however have doubts about bep078s time of 1'19".089 on Laguna Seca. Its just too fast to believe IMO and there are a lot of things that could be tweaked to produce such a time. The RX-7 fully tuned has around 641 HP, a stickier set of tires could change lap times by at least a full second in the right hands and lastly the usage of NOS. Then there is the chance that he is actually around 2 seconds a lap faster than me on every course so far.

My 350Z has a maximum power output of 486 tops. That is the absolute most horsepower the game will allow anyone to put under the hood. Yes I am using a spoiler, but that does not violate the rules sMi.rnoff layed out. I have been using the medium racing tires since the beginning of this competition too.

ill pm u my setup then u can try it. maybe they will let me get away without a pic lol. with nos i was around 1 18 somethin. i tried a bunch of setups with the 350 but the car doesnt like me lol.

This is my favorite game of all time....ever. I usually only pay attention to my Nurburgring times, and only try to improve those. Does anyone here focus on the 'ring too? If so, we should compare and contrast.
