I got my hands on the entire Best Motoring Internation DVD set. It contains volumes one through 31. I am absolute enthralled with the Touge battles. You want to talk about some finely tuned cars being pushed to the limits in extremely trying environments... It's pretty amazing how much time, effort, and funding, these big name tuners as well as independent tuners pump into cars just to put them into BMI's driver's hands to beat the hell out of. That leads me to another thing I particularly like about BMI, their drivers are truly top notch. The GT500 champions over there can really adapt to nearly any car within a short period of time and be pushing them to their limits shortly there after.
A few things I found interesting as well as amazing were the outcomes of a few of the more recent challenges. The 2008 Subaru WRX STi absolutely wasted the Evo X, which was not supposed to happen according to many automotive journalist and sources. It was faster in the Slalom, the quarter mile, the lane change, and braking tests. I was pretty impressed. In fact, the 2008 Sti came from the back of the grid to finish 1 and 2 in with the 05' STi in their 5 lap battle of Tuskuba over the Manual and SST version of the Evo X and previous Evo GSR. One thing that truly blew my mind was watching these guys do a full out 7 thousand RPM clutch dump launch in the new and old STi.... They must have a far superior product to what we have here because I have seen guys in the states burn out the clutch and break transmissions doing 4k clutch dumps on US spec STi models... Anyways www.motorworld.net (http://www.motorworld.net/) is a free bit torrent provider of all kinds of automotive shows. You can get the whole collection there as well as Top Gear seasons, 5th Gear seasons, Video option, ect. ect.. I don't mean to plug the site but I seriously love it.
Edit...Wow either no one has seen the BMI series or apparently no one could care less...Way to not post anything.
