Congrats on your 2000th post! And nice comparizzle.

I'd take the Caparo. It's just a notch or five above the others. I still can't believe it's road legal and that you can actually buy it.

But is it available with a roof by the way, or was that only a feature on the concept? 'Cause the benefit of an open top is the smaller frontal area. A closed top has a lower .cd. So creating an opening in a closed top roof throws the advantage of either version right out the window.

I'll choose the Honda NSX-R GT because I'm a JDM fanboy.....

I go with the Porsche. It looks nice, and I was just watching top gearon the internet about finding the best road, and Richard Hammond was quite pleased with the GT3RS.
The NSX and the CCXR comes very close.

I'd take the lotus.

lol, omparing all these car's is kind of funny when you look at the price tag.

like, seriously, who in the same hell would take the ferrari, in terms of perfromance, when it get's outstripped by nearly all of the cheaper vehicles in the comparison. one of those situations in which you truly do NOT get what you pay

Well, this is interesting.

Now, should we pick purely with track day intentions, or with intentions of having the vehicle for more than one thing?

And why the NSX-R GT? The "plain old" NSX-R would suffice, and it's cost is less nose-bleeding.

So, here it is. For nothing but track work, the Caterham will do me, no questions asked. I'd get them to send me the you-assemble-it kit minus an engine, and I'd plop a K20 in it. That would definitely yield the most grins and the best performance.

For any other situation, an NSX would make me very, very, very happy. Really, just a regular ole' '97 NSX would be just fine.

fair enough but i only made the comparison for the track only

I would like to have the 2007 Koenigsegg CCXR, but I would rather drive the Caparo on the track.

For just a striaght-up track thrashing, I'll take the Ultima.

It's got a downright magical chassis, with a suspension system set-up by Lee Noble.

It's weight wouldn't even register on a bathroom scale.

All of it's controls are direct - no power assist anything - or electronic aids. I really like that in a car.

And that particular car uses a 720 hp Chevy small block.

And it's all set-up so well that it currently holds six performance records. (0-100-0, Skidpad, quarter mile (9.9s))

And the chassis is rated for 1000 hp. Ooooh boy.

To drive home, it's a toss between the Ultima and the Viper.

...

I'll probably take the Ultima, because I can't imagine it being that much less suitable as a road car than the Viper.

And... the knowledge that "This is MY car, that I built," is about as cool of a feature as car can have.

my pic wud be the ultima.it's a record breaking machine!! if i am rite it runs on a modified ls2.plus it can be driven back home.unlike the caparo or the lotus(my second pick) which has no roof.the nsx is outrageous.450k+..no way!!

Well consideriung the T1 would simply run circles around these cars, i think its easy enough to see which one i'd want.
The T1 compared to this lot is like Concorde to Easyjet, one makes the other look completly boring and pathetic.

This has gotta be the hardest comparo I've ever done...ok.

Lemme see...I'll still say Caparo...it's the closest you'll ever get to an F1 car.

When you say track day machines I think in road ilegal or legal cars that are just unsable in the roads like the FXX and the T1 , the Koenigsegg is preatty useble what (in supercar terms of corse...) and I think that it isn't matching with the propost of the thread.
but lets back to topic , i would without doubts drive the T1 and FXX the others would be opitionals , don't tell me to choose one because in this thread my minimal are this two car the T1 and FXX.

LOL this is like the most RANDOM comparison ever..>Lol but some sweet cars..haha

I can't pick..

Either the Ultima GT-R the Viper ACR or the FXX...
the rest just aint "me"

The Caparo looks like crap, and it's flimsy...if you're gonna get a F1ish car get that one that's suitable size.

I would pick this Swed...

Koenigsegg CCGT a true race car
600hp aspirated engine and just 1000kg with 100kg of ballast (in my track day no ballast)
and even better it looks good in white.

Strictly track car, w/ cost no object- Caparo

Spending my own money, and being logical about it- 911 GT3RS

Dec 09, 2007, 8:35 PM
For performance, I would take Caparo T1.

But when exclusivity and other stuffs are considered, Ferrari FXX Evoluzione would be the best choice, if I were getting one of those cars for free.

Of these I'd pick the Koensigegieigeegegeigeegeg. Why didn't you include the Ariel Atom?
