View Full Version : Enthusia Professionial Racing, best simulator EVER

This is THE HARDEST racing game I've ever played (and in my top 3 best racing games). The physics system is unforgiving. Whether if you've played GT4 or Forza, those are nothing compared to this. Losing control is extremely easy. A scandinavian flick while braking is as hard as calculus. But there's one thing that makes this game even better: the kick-ass music. It has THE BEST music I've ever heard from a video game (it even beats Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 3, which I love). It's a combination of jazz and electronica, with an action-tempting pace.

I know this is a crappy paragraph, but that's because I'm sleepy and I need to go to bed.....

I agree, I have this game. It has a clutch, bits and pieces on the cars work (Spoiler on SLR, ect) but one thing I don't like: The career. Its confusing as hell, but physics, everything else is awesome. I wish my PS2 still worked....

I had that game too. I thought no one plays it, most people I know plays Grand Turismo 4 instead. I love Enthusia and still playing it now and then. Currently 99% complete, after playing it for 2 frickin years. It's hard. It took me weeks just to turn an FF car and months to drive a RWD car straight. I woneder if they'll make a sequel?

I have played that game on PS2 , but you must try good old TOCA or Colin Dirt on PS3 then you will see what it true simulator , I don't like games in wich you can't destroy the car , it's not realistic

its not best forEVER, if it was for the 360, that would be better, first of all, graphics still looks lovely for me, but the career is just too confusing, i mean, youve got these challenges, then your driver points and those calenders and stuff and i seriously dont know what its about, i just played the game...

pretty good overall, but id defineatly get a wheel for that sim

I've played that game, and it's really difficult, but for me, Gran Turismo 4 is a more challenging game.

I agree, though, that the music in Enthusia KICKS A**!!

I don't think it was ever released here, or perhaps it was but it wasn't promoted well and most people skipped over it. I remember hearing about this game a while ago but never seeing it on shelves though.

Hey guys, can you actually use the clutch pedal of the Logitech G25 with Enthusia ?

'Cause I've got two of those babies (!) but the clutch pedal don't work with GT4 ...

Konami is and for a long time has been my second favorite developer. I'm sad to say that I've never heard of this game though, I'll try to pick it up for sure and I'm hoping for a sequel.

dude that Miata is getting worked pretty hard:p I've played it once, on PS2. I was driving a Toyota Corolla -_-''' physics seem pretty real to me, because the car was unbelievably slow and weird.

I just played Enthusia on the Nurburgring (on Time Attack mode) and I am simply overwhelmed...

I was wondering what other tracks were available, so I checked out the Time Attack mode. I found the legendary Nurburgring Nordshleife. So, in curiosity, I choose it. I chose the Subaru Impreza WRX STI Rally America rally car. Then as soon as I started (on the original start line), the music began playing. As soon as I entered the 5th corner...this masterpiece begins to show itself. It slowly unwinds from a very strong, soothing feel to a fast, chaotic yet pleasureful essence. The music wasn't just it. The track, just like Gran Turismo 4, is well recreated. The physics, as I have already stated, is significantly better than GT4's. (But I would like some damage). But it all comes down to the whole experience itself. EVERY car enthusiast MUST play this game, especially on the Nurburgring. Get your VERY favorite car, crank up the TV volume (don't forget the BGM and SFX volume), drive the Nurburgring Nordshleife, and, experience something special.....

I think I should have bought the game while I had he chance instead of buying Juiced 2 for the PS2. I thought it would be a cheap knockoff to GT4, but by the descison of the forum everyone likes it.

^There's almost none left. Just about every game store I looked in doesn't have it. I just happened to find it when I was getting free burritos, because GameStop was next door.....

I think I've rented it before, didn't really like it.

But I didn't give it a chance :p

Maybe I'll try it again.

...

You Suck :p

This time, PLEASE give it a chance. Take some time to beat some (or many) of the Driving Revolution levels, and you SHOULD unlock Nurburgring on Time Attack mode. Once you try Nurburgring Nordshleife, you will understand the experience I had.....

First time I played Enthusia I thought it was junk - it's simply TOO HARD.

After a couple of weeks later, I was completely hooked with it. So yeah, give it time. And do the Driving Revolution first. Trust me, it helps, A LOT - especially for driving RWD cars. Until now I'm still stuck at 99% in the stage where you use the Audi R8 race car - forgot name of the track. It's hard to get all S rank there.

I played Nurburgring for a couple of times and that was it. It's just too damn hard, too damn long, and the background music wasn't so supportive. But the experience is just surreal. You have to try it to feel it - provided you don't go off track too much. I did it with Subaru WRX STi Rally Car in high 8 minutes. I can't do it unless using AWD cars.

Here's another video comparing Enthusia's physics to real life physics:

I love this game!!! The physics, large amount of European and American cars, and AWSOME MUSIC!!!!!11...

Sorry guys, will the clutch pedal of the Logitech G25 work with this game?

AWDfreak
Nov 24, 2007, 4:46 AM
^it should, because Enthusia can be used with a clutch. But this is all I could find:

http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/265/625&cl=us,en

I hope that helps...

I unlocked the snow circuit[Wintertraum], it's loads of fun drifting in the snow! The Renault 5 Turbo 2 shows it's stability in the snow. It's much more stable than the other RWD rally cars.

I also unlocked Lowenseering, which is a bit technical. It seems like Konami researched real life circuits, and got their best corners and put all those corners/sections together to form Lownseering. (The last chicane is very similar to Spa Francorchamps' first high-speed chicane) It's got this "boss battle" kind of BGM, it gets me all serious and hyped.....

EDIT: Holy sh1t...

Mirage Crossing (the desert cross-country rally) is RANDOMLY GENERATED!!!

http://www.konami.jp/gs/game/enthusia/eng/system/desert.html

I strongly recommend that everyone should explore the website!!! Each time I read a new aritcle, I am even more impressed by Konami......

EDIT: Konami even went through the trouble to make driving tips:

Subaru Impreza on Nurburgring: http://www.konami.jp/gs/game/enthusia/eng/pdf/shimizu.pdf

Honda NSX on Nurburgring: http://www.konami.jp/gs/game/enthusia/eng/pdf/kurosawa.pdf

Simply put, the website is packed with info if you have any questions.....
