View Full Version : Forget about the New Nissan GT-R...

Forget the new Nissan GT-R. There is too much back and forth about this car and its already annoyed me. I would much rather the Skyline GTR's from the past. Those cars rocked! and they still do.
Which one is your favorite? The R34 will always have a special place in my heart but the R32 is affordable with the same engine. In a straight line its even faster. The R33 i think is the pig of them both and the one I least like.
Having a problem with specs will have to post them separate...

R32 was the best hands down...
it defined the car...
In it's various tunes, it's faster than it's older bro the R33..
And it's block is the best RB26DETT block produced..
The Block of the R32 N1 is the same block used in the JGTC Skylines, aswell as the Z tune and every other high performance skyline out there..
The R33 didn't do anything but look good ( IS the best looking skyline..no arguement)
and the R34 was a big fat retarded looking monster.

Depends what you want. Like Driftster says, the best block sat in the early R32 GT-Rs, and subsequently the Z-Tune (which is stupid money).
So if you were going to race it/tune it, the R32 would be best (probably the lightest, too?). But if you wanted to use it everyday, I think I'd rather have the comfort of the R34. I like its looks still, even after ricer-boys have disgraced it. I think the likes of A/C, traction control and all the other little gadgets would make the R34 nicer to drive (especially in England!)
On a side note; there's a red R32 GTR up the road from where I live, and it still sends a shiver down my spine whenever it's on the same road as me, like when it was the car behind last friday. You can tell what it was even though it was dark, you could here it coming!

The R32 for me.
Well, Driftster already stated pretty much everything.
While the R33 looks good, I find the R32 to be a notch better. If I wanted a Skyline, the R32 would be it. I just love that thing. And it's affordable. If only they sell some in here, there are only R34s around :(.
Oh and the Bayside Blue R34 does look good, even though the R34 is fat.

The R34 . looks very technical and better than the rest . although i do love the classy look on the R32 but the R34 is the evolution of it .
The R33 was ugly , never liked it for some reasons .

They were all pretty great, the R32 was a classic. The R33 and R34, were also very great.
It's hard to make a choice, I like the R33 as much as I like the R34.
But then there are the tuned versions (N1, Nur, Z-Tune, etc.), I think I will go for the R34. But really, I would choose all of them...:p.
I've seen an R33 and R34, really nice.

I like the R33, it's the best looking GT-R among all of the GT-Rs.
That's my opinion anyway.
I would say the R32 is the best though. I doubt there will be R34 or even the new one if the R32 didn't exist.

R34, its prettiest! a racing driver here in denmark owned one in aa nice blue, and when i first saw at a legal streetrace, i was sold. Its simply so damn pretty! http://www.kismo.dk/
I chose the r-32, for some reason I have been a huge fan of the "godzilla" for quite a few years now, it has that classy menacing look to it.
Plus my brother convinced me to buy some super tiny rc cars a while ago while I was still living in the US, and there was this really cool r32 body shell that I always used
Thanks

I would say the R32 & R33 I think they look better than the r34. I hate the rear of the r34 for some reason. It looks to squared off, and boxy. I have been a fan of the r23 for along time now. Someday I will own one.

I like the one that most people hate...the R34.
It looks the best IMO, and well, i just like it over the other two. You know how you like a car for....no reason??well, this is the case.

No pics/links or anything? Well, if I had to choose, I would probably go with the R34. I rather liked the styling and there was a Z-tune version which was bloody fast.
Here's some pics

I like the R33, it's the sexiest, imo, especially the Nismo 400R. Im quite surprised so many people voted R34, I thought most people hate it.

I'd rather have the RB26 out of the R33 in an R31 GTS-R. There was some guy in Tasmania who did that and, that car is awesome.
I don't like the look of any of the newer Skylines, especially the R34.

Venom: I really didnt think I had to add links and pics, i think everyone is pretty aware of the these cars, and if they arent they shouldnt be on this web forum. They are probably one of the best cars to come out of Japan.
The R32 is my "reality" pick as its the only car that I could afford in this lifetime. They look like sleeper cars and are amazing.

R33 GT-R. Just because I had one for a little over 3 years. I loved every minute of it too. But... Desperate time's call for desperate measures, and she had to go. (Sadness)

R34, it's the evolution of previous GTR's.
