Hey all!

I was wondering what you guys think about the new Renaults?

I think their futuristic models are very ugly! and i don't understand why their ONLY quite nice model the : Avantime, is stopt with production because it wasn't saled very well...

a few new Renault models:

This is the Avantime, the one who i liked the most of all! :

Than comes the even MORE ugly : Espace, and the old espace was just quite nice!

And NOW we got one of the MOSTY ugly Renault ever : Megane

Now what is your opinion about the new Renault line??
I think it's very ugly!!
I think it's stupid that the Avantime is stopped with production :(

Lol u like the Avantime more than the Megane? The Avantime has the more weird design of all the Reanult's...It was the first model to have the new design... :P

Personally it leaves me neutral...

The Megane is ugly! i've worked by Renault ,and i swear Laguna and the Megane have a VERY bad durabillity and are at the moment VERY unreliable!! , MUCH electrical problems!
together with that weird desgin , this must be the most stupid cars of this moment :)

The Megane IS ugly, but it has some appeal to me, anyway, they are making the same as nissan passing thru an euro filter, but the nissan results are better, even if the new maxima's rear is ugly as hell, also i do like the Laguna, i liked the previows one better but i don't think it's ugly, just weird

Yes, they're not too ugly, just a bit weird, and I also have to say that Renault has improved very much over the last years. They now make some very good and safe cars.
Still, I definitely prefer any Japanese or German car.

i don't like all renault abset the clio and clio v6 ,, clio v6 spider :D

No,I like Renault.Their new models are ok.They aren't so much beautiful but they are OK... :wink:

Well. i can tell you that Nose is designed quite good , best the rest of the car is indeed ugly to!

you saw an Avantime? - they only sold a few hundred of them so seeing them is very rare.
I like the new Renaults. The only conventional car left is the clio, and in comparision it looks boring.
To buy the new renaults you hvae to be a certain type of person, someone who wants to stand out.

I think that 3 Renault cars have 5 stars in Euro NCAP car tests.Megane II,Vel Satis and Laguna.Right?

Yes, plus the new Espace. So that makes 4 cars with 5 stars!

NCAP dont always replect the realaty !!
anyways its a test ... any you may get wrong resulat in real life !

They can only test - do you expect them to test the speed the car can with stand before people get permanent brain damage?

The NCAP tests are the most realistic tests of all safety standard groups. And a car that scores higher will, more often than not, get better results in real life than a lower scoring car.

Yes mallon even here in The Netherlands it's quite exclusive if you see a Avantime!
There are MUCH more saled in Europa as you said!

IN Our Dealer ( garage) we already got 2 in our showroom , than we had a costumer with a avantime, who's light was broken and came to the dealer with it.....

So i thought they saled 2300 Avantime's in WHOLE of Europe! in a quite long time and they expected 3600, it was someting like that , don't know the numbers exactly anymore!

I saw only 1 Avantime here in Greece.They are like Lambo's.LOOOOL. :lol:

i was expecting that the Avantime became a quite good selled car! and the other Renault would be mistakes!

Well it's totallty diffrent , not fun , i like to see more Avantime's on the road :(

I saw an Avantime today!!!LOOOOOL.It was a crashed one under ELPA's office.That was the old one.

For those who don't live in Greece, ELPA is a main Greek road help company.

Renaults are freakin ugly my friend and I have had an argument about the renaults its a little soemthing like this: SInce Renault owns 40% of nissan he now thinks that nissans look like renaults, and i have compleatly disagreed because the new nissan design scheme is just "nissan" i cannot see where any nissan/infiniti looks like a renault, do you guys think that nissans look like ugly renaults?

I've got to admit i thought that too, the front grille is clearly reminsecent, but Nissan is rounder whil renault's edges could cut other cars in the half

yes that is true but if you take a hummer h2 and compare the grille with a jeep does it make it the hummer a jeep? All car companies copy eachothers designs evry now and then but they are all truely distinct

Thlam see it from another post!Nobody said that Nissan look like Renault's.Nissan have a different style on their cars.And which Reanult is similiar to the new Primera??I think noone! :wink: And Renault bought the 32% of Nissan.Just for an information. :wink: :lol:

the new megane sport looks rather good...
with 225 Hp i think it will kick some serious ass !!!

yeah it does on the back it has that cadillac thing going on, but in fornt its another story

i wasnt too convinced with the looks of the new renaults but they've all grown on me (possible exception of the VelSatis). I think they're all cool. I think its better to be different than re-designing previous generation of cars.

yeah cars i find ugly tend to grow on me through time :oops: but still not a fan of the megane;you either have a hatch back or trunk you can't have it both ways
