The 1993-1994 Carrera RS America
Because the performance is all so similar, I had to choose on stlying. Which is what you intended, I think. The Carerra 2 looks two much like a bug. The wider wheel wells is nice, but give me a RS in black and I'm satisfied.

Hmmm...I really can't choose any of them, and instead of just saying that and running away, here's why:
1-The 1992-'93 Carrera RS America was a crappy watered down version of the Euro RS that never got here. Same with the later GT3 RS, and the current one too. Porsche has this ability to not go that extra yard to appease their biggest market. And that's why they damn near went under in the late nineties. The Boxster and Cayenne single handedly saved their rear engined asses.
2-The '84-'89 Carrera 3.2, while being a nice lightweight sports car, just doesn't do it for me because although it's got enough "squirt" to get to the next corner, it's handling in the corner is no better than a 944 Turbo S. Because the 951's engine was far enough back behind the front axle it allowed it to have Corvette handling, which as most of us know, is on par with a 911, hell, they're competitors.
3-1995-1998 Carrera 2, now see this is the closest to what I'd choose, it's only problem is the weight. And while nearly 3,000 lbs is pretty rare in today's "more, more, more EVERYTHING" cars. It's overshadowed once again by my yearning for the 993 GT3 RS, that car is almost better than the current GT3 RS.
My mind works strangely, as do all of our car enthusiast brains. One moment we love and can't praise a model enough, and at other moments we loath them, and just hate 'em. For no apparent reason. I know a GT3 RS is too much of a car for me, and that an older tail happy 911 is too much for me as well. But I want something I know won't let me sit still either. I wanna be on my toes when behind the wheel.
So with that said, what would I want from the 911 air-cooled range?
The car that single handedly allowed Porsche to keep the supercar game locked up tight during the 70's oil crisis. A car that develops more power than all three of those, and weighs less than two of them. And can therefore, keep pace with them despite having a 4 speed.
The 1978 Porsche 911 Turbo. Gooooorgeous looks, amazing strengths in every field. And while I know this would be the most tail happy, what with boost kicking those rear tires out, but ya' know what. One drive in that I think would make me take the risk. Chain driven cams, whooshing turbo's, howling pistons...I think I'll go take a cold shower now.

I'll take a late 98 Carrera 2. Simply cos its cheap and probably the best 911 they've made so far.

i'm going to break the argument with my opinions, first the car,
1984-1989 Carerra 3.2 Euro spec (this car is heaven)
and now you two...
12inch... tell me why you hate Dimitirs so much, English is not his first language, he speaks it very good, if i tried to speak greek... hell i couldn't do it very well.
and Dimitris, it is true all your posts end in !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !! and that sometimes you seem to be a viscious in posts, but then that is how you are, no-one should rip the piss because of that. I deal with lots of people from different countries, and it amazes me when English is their 3rd language, and they speak it well!!

The 993, I think it's technically the best of the lot (i think I've read that) and I also like the styling of the newer Porsches.
And you two, please stop it....

nah, this is an honest argument. As you both dont sink to childish levels, i'm not going to complain. Watch the language too.
As for me i love all of these 911's, but i'll go with the RS america. I know it's like the watered down version, but i dont give a crap. It's very unassuming and pretty fast. I'd say it'd be the most fun out of the three. Plus, the 964 series is my favorite 911 series.

he's correct in that statement. However, keep in mind that he may not have perfect english. Therefore, his posts might sound a little childish.
