I am looking for an automatic car that is also a sporty car. In the Uk this seems to be quite difficult.
I have looked at hyundai coupe/ mg zr and several others.
price range is 10-15 thousand UK pounds.
can be used car 1 or 2 years old.
can anyone recommend a car or good website
thanks,

i would suggest a 1998ish BMW M3, but thats older than 2 years...
maybe something like a toyota or honda, they seem quite quick cars, unfortunately I cannot really give too much info, as I only know price and listings etc of manual sports cars...

You could go for an MX5, not a bad choice, inexpensive, fun to boot too!
As for automatics and sporty, that'll be harder to do, simply because most people that buy sportier cars get manual's. I'd recomend an older 3 series like SubaruKid said, maybe not an M3 because it'll be a lil' expensive to mainain I'd think.
So my suggestions?
www.autotrader.com or ebaymotors.com
Both have looooooots of cars with tooons of variants on each. Also, don't worry about not knowin' much, we all came here to learn about cars. And most of the people here are really, really knowledgable about them. :P
One problem is that in the US we don't get alot of the cars that you guys get in Europe. Grrrr :x

The MX-5 would indeed be a nice choice

But the cars you do get are almost half the price from the price here in Europe. Grrr :x

Yep, but no TVR, no Noble, no Elise for 5 years, no new Alfa's, no 959, Zonda, etc...
Oh well, yeah, the prices here for some are considerably less. :D

its only no TVR, no Noble etc because of emission and safety laws, in the UK these "specialist" cars are exept from those rules 8)
and yes, you have cheap priced cars... not fair :( :P

Hmm, this is interesting. If you really dont need an automatic, i'd go for something like an early mitsubishi Evolution. M3 is of course a good choice, but a BMW Z3 coupe or roadster would be nice. Also, an old SLk would work, or an old C32 AMG.

I forgot no NSX Type R, or Honda Integra Type R, or McLaren F1, orrrrrrrr 911 GT3 RS, and so on and so forth. But the Noble I forgot in America you can buy it, with engine and tranny, for 50 thousand. (No taxes, unassembled)...

my opinion hyundi sux i like the ZR too but in Greece it is expensive(for me)....
why don't you buy a new one!!!! the problem with used cars is that you don't know what previous owner did in there........... :?

An older 3-series with steptronic would be nice...
But why auto?? This is an oxymoron: "sportscar with automatic"...
