The flared fenders are pretty freakin cool. Too bad the WRX doesn't have them anymore.
I must admit... these new generation Audi's are really starting to grow on me.

Ahhh. the RS6 Avant - The thinking man's supercar. What about the sedan? Any more detailed info/reiews?
And Scuderia-F430; Audi has easily maintained it's stranglehold of the (admittedly made up) World's Best Interiors award lol. Seriously, they must be proud when they finish the interior of a car. Good job, fellas!

Strange, there's no sunroof. Speaking of Audi's with no sunroof... does anyone else find it funny that the S5's glass doesn't slide? It only tilts.

V10 bi-turbo
580Hp at 6250 RPM
650 Nm at 1500 - 6250 RPM
0-100kmh 4.6 sec
0-200 14.6 sec
There will be no sedan version of this car, only avant. Like in the old days:p
It's freakin sweet. Love the colour and the rims. Though the wheel arches are a bit too much imo. Could have done without them.
And now have a look at that engine bay:

I actually like it as a Avant better , and 580bhp seems ... more than enough for a station wagon !

Why no saloon. Thats rediculous. I hate estates! I suppose it doesnt look that bad for one though. But the back is identical to the current A4, thats a bit lazy.

Offically the world's best car. It's big, powerful, you can fit a tiger in the back, it's got a superb interior, those seat's look fantastic, you can carry and scare your friends, there's always the risk the engine may spontaneously combust, annnnnd, my mam even said it was cool, which, is just the clincher.
This is my new dream car. Bring on the plus model I say.

Holy s***! That's something unbelievable. Audi has now many veery interesting and powerfull models. V10 with turbo is something beautiful, this car kicks straght to M5 touring balls:p

This car is unbelievable. Looks great in that dark Electric Blue, great rims and a great interior. Simply stunning. Like Sparky said, if you buy this car you won't need a car for anything else. Tons of space, luxurious inside, and the engine to match. 580hp, twin turbo V10, wow! The M5 Touring has some stiff competition, and on looks and first impressions alone, I'd take this RS6 over the M5 Touring.

Audi RS6: more power than an M5 (http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsArticle/AllCars/227613/#)
Audi is sticking two exhaust pipes up to the environmental brigade with this, the ridiculously powerful new RS6, revealed here for the first time.
The new RS6 packs a faintly ridiculous 572bhp from the twin-turbo 5.2-litre V10 that's been squeezed beneath its lightweight aluminium bonnet - 145bhp more than its twin-turbocharged 4.2-litre V8 predecessor.
That surfeit of power instantly makes the RS6 to the leader of the muscle-saloon pack; the Mercedes E63 AMG has a mere 503bhp and the BMW M5 a trifling 500bhp. Then again, Audi already produces a 429bhp 5.2-litre V10 S6, so it really needed to ramp up the power for the RS6.
Providing the shove is a tweaked version of Audi’s 90-degree 40-valve 5.2-litre V10 petrol engine with twin turbochargers, air-to-air intercooler and the latest direct injection system.
Max power is developed at 6250pm, with peak torque of 480lb ft (96lb ft up on the M5; 15lb ft up on the E63) arriving at just 1500rpm.
Audi says that the RS6 will leap from 0-62mph in 4.6sec – faster than the M5, and as quick as the E63. The difference, however, is that the Audi is likely to be able to manage that performance whatever the weather, thanks to standard quattro four-wheel drive.
As in the first-generation RS6, drive is fed through a six-speed automatic gearbox with steering wheel mounted shift paddles. This time, however, the beefed-up Torsen differential based arrangement doles out 60 per cent of the power to the rear and 40 to the front, to provide what Audi describes as improved levels of traction and more rear biased handling.
There's also a reworked suspension, with the same four-link arrangement up front and multi-links at the rear as the S6, but with radically altered elasto-kinematic properties to take advantage of the increased power being put through the rear wheels. Also standard is Dynamic Ride Control, a mechanical system that alters damping during cornering to counteract roll and pitch.
The looks aren't quite as pumped up as the performance: for a car that packs over a hundred horsepower more than a Porsche 911 Turbo, we think it's rather subtle.
Up front there's a more heavily profiled front bumper with larger cooling ducts, a revised grille with brushed aluminium frame, and the now-obligatory-for-Audi LED daytime running lights.
Along the flanks, the RS6 flexes its biceps, with massively bulging blistered wheelarches that recall the original Quattro. Wheels are 19-inchers as standard, shod with 255/40 tyres, but 20-inchers with 275/35 rubber are optional.
At the rear is a pair of chromed oval tailpipes, set within a rear bumper that has a full-width diffuser for high-speed stability. There's also a subtle spoiler.
We've only got photos of the estate so far, but Audi will be building a saloon as well, giving the RS6 the potential to squash not just its German rivals, but also the forthcoming new Jaguar XF-R.
The RS6 arrives in the UK in April 2008, when it's expected to cost around £70k. Just don’t ask about the CO2 emissions.

Yup me too, except for the R8 & the TT. But yeah, they are definitely looking less round, which is a good thing, because they look sleeker.

There will be a RS6 sedan:"Audi is expected to launch the Avant (wagon) alongside the high-volume RS6 sedan for the 2008 model year.
Both RS6 variants are expected to deliver between 550 and 600 horsepower. Power for the RS6 will come from a turbocharged version of the 5.2 liter V10 found in the S6.
Spy photos of the sedan and wagon have given us a good idea of what to expect visually, and these official shots confirm styling will remain restrained and functional"

Why are all your threads lately so low-quality? For god sake, give some information on what you're talking about, for example more detailed specifications, prices, release dates and so on.
Your XF thread, CLK thread and this RS6 thread have all been absolutely awful. Come on, sort it out...
EDIT: even CarRocker and Cx55 had to post specifications...
What an awful thread, seriously. What annoys me more is how this stops people who wanted to post a real thread on the RS6 themselves...
Your XF thread certainly made me think about not posting my proper XF thread, but I realised yours was so un-detailed and useless, no-one would care if it's kind of a repost...

^^ Thats true - your thread quality needs to go up. I like the car however - but I prefer the S6 Avant in terms of styling - more covert.

I agree, come on, you can do better than this. If you're not up for it, let someone else do a proper thread.

Your XF thread certainly made me think about not posting my proper XF thread, but I realised yours was so un-detailed and useless, no-one would care if it's kind of a repost...The CLK thread came with no info, only pics. And the point of the thread was my attempt to predict the styling. Because there is no info. I posted the RS6 pics as soon as I saw them, but not before searching for more info than what I posted. So what? Should I be like you and post false information? Say for instance, how the Jag XF is just as fast, if not faster than it's competition? You couldn't be further from the truth. How about your claims that the XF chassis is aluminum? Wrong again buddy. What a normal poster would do is add info to the thread. That's called good posting. If all of the information is in you're face, then there isn't really much to discuss... now is there? Everyone is welcome to participate. You don't have to add your BS if you don't like it.
But that's beside the point. You're just mad because I corrected you're errors on your own XF Clone Thread.
I agree, come on, you can do better than this. If you're not up for it, let someone else do a proper thread.Oh, this coming from the quality poster who was trashed in the Annoying members/complaints Thread.:-&

This is so powerful. The RS6 Avant has 580hp. It will be very fast. It needs only 4.6 secs to reach 100km/h. Wowie. This car looks great from the exterior. The headlights and the taillights have leds. From the exterior the car is beautiful.
The interior looks comfy and it has much space for a family.
I would take this car cause it's so undercover. It looks like a ffamily car but it isn't. With 580hp this is not a family car.

All i was saying was your threads lacked substance, you haven't been praised much recently (CLK drawings). Me and frewin just think maybe you could improve your post quality, or let someone else do it, don't cause an arguement.
