Well if you thought with GTAIV getting delayed till next year not getting any worse, think again.

Now it's PGR 4's turn getting delayed, instead of it's early release date of September 11, it has now changed to October 2 for USA and October 12 for Europe.

US, August 23, 2007 - Project Gotham Racing 4 (http://au.xbox360.ign.com/objects/853/853087.html), originally planned for an early September release, has been delayed. The hot first-party racer has a new official ship date. PGR4 is set to drift into stores in North America on October 2 and in Europe on October 12.

A statement from Bizarre Creations, developers of the PGR series, was short and to the point: "The team is putting the finishing touches on the game to ensure it crosses the finish line at retail as the best title yet in the PGR racing franchise."

Oh well, i guess we have to wait a little longer to get our hands on PGR 4, but like GTA IV, the developers need extra time to polish up the game, which is good news for me since the trailer looked like it needed a bit more touching up.

Yeah I wasn't too impressed with the trailer & the latest batch of screenshots , though , if PGR3 is anything to go by then this should shape up to be quite a treat.

I have no doubt it'll be amazing & a delay is commonplace nowadays. What with games being huge & becoming harder to develop.

I'm not too bothered. Forza 2 was delayed. A month isn't going to matter anyway.

I dont mind much, too much to buy at the mo anyway, lol.

Exactly, Halo 3, Blazing Angels 2, etc. all on my mind. And both (I think) are coming in September.

I have yet to be impressed with it If I'm honest and I hated PGR 3.

Why is everyone soo surprised ???

Forsa Motorsport 2, GTA IV and now this, its seems to be the trend nowadays within the game industry.

Besides TDU is a damn good game and I have yet to get bored of it soo I can play on that instead and safe in the knowledge that I would rather spend the money on NHL 2K8.

^^^ Forza 2 is out so it doesn't matter that it was delayed cause everyone's playing it now. But I see your point Nemphis.

Yeah TDU is pretty good. I still have to get the 'all roads travelled' award & finish the hitchhiker missions & I'm done. Bloody hell it's a big game isn't it.

Delays have been going on since Street Fighter 2 on the Mega-Drive. It's never been a big thing for me.

I loved PGR3 as I'd never played any of the previous games & before it , I was playing GT4 so for me , it was a real next-gen shot in the arm. And I love the photo mode as well.
