The Car(s) must have cool doors! The doors must be something besides the normal right-hinged doors, and they must be open. Suicide, Gullwing, Dissapearing, etc.

Thank you for pointing that out, i look at yours and thought i had miscounted but didn't look into it. I'm doing the elimination voting, that to my knowledge has helped with POTM. I won't limit the entries because that excludes members and POTM should be open.

That is why this POTM is a sham!

No doubt CarRocker's one is good but I think it has been overrated. I mean, that picture shouldn't be a picture. It is too much. lol, no offense alright CarRocker? It's a great picture. zeyk should have get my vote if only the picture was bigger. Clutch's picture is awesome. I like the car itself the picture made it better. Those doors are sweet. Hope the next POTM won't be a disappointment.

N wright, you are doing a great job. I'm not giving any ideas because it wouldn't be fair IMO. I personally think when I'm giving out an idea, the winning side will always with me. I mean, I have superb idea that I'm likely to win. Humans are like that.

N wright, for subsequent POTM competitions, I think you should make a rule that once a car is picked by one member, then that car is off limits to any subsequent member for that month's competition.

The reason I say it, is because we will get much more of a variety of cars in different settings which will increase the competition and quality.

If you look at altova, birger, bennyboy, ferrari ug, miniwisejosh, turbinas, and zeyk, all their pictures contained the same car/door which really is unfair to all competitors because say zeyk gets a vote from someone because its a lambo with cool doors, but that same person won't vote for the others because they are all Lambos and that person really voted based on small insignificant features of the background, all the cars had the same door and make, but one got the vote.

Same thing for my situation, I tried to go unique but subsequent entries posted the exact same doors and got votes which really takes away some votes for me even though its the same door, this also applies to some other entries. Say I like SLR doors, and there are 2 entries, I will be forced to just choose a picture even though the subject was the door.

While I can understand that the same car can be posted twice in different settings, when its more specific like doors or other parts, I belive that one and done rule should be enforced.

I hope you get what I am trying to say.

There is a big difference between Leka-S his picture, Robbie's picture and your picture. The angle on Leka-S' is awesome, combine that with the clouds etc. makes for a brilliant picture.
Robbie's picture is at a car show and has a normal angle, nothing special.
I'm not a fan of pictures that are black and white with a coloured car or whatsoever in there. That's why I didn't pick yours.

To conclude, my opinion on this is that you have a point till a certian level. I mean, Robbies picture and Leka-S are completely different, except for the car. I do not see any problem with that.
I do agree when the angles are near identical and has the same car in it.

Car Rocker, while it is true that the pictures are not in the same settings or angle, they are identical when it comes to what the POTM is about, which is car doors. Going back to the 7 members who chose the exact same door to participate with, which to me does not make sense. I say pick different cars, I don't doubt that Leka's picture looks amazing, but if it is about the doors then my picture becomes obsolete becuase it isn't unique within itself because there is more than one entry of that door.

I understand what you are trying to say. With the theme this month it would have worked out great. However, depending on the themes in some situations it will not work as well. With the theme Ocean, its more about cars by the ocean, any cars. With this theme it was about doors, and some cars have unique doors, so it would have been more appropriate for this theme to do what you suggested.

I will consider putting your idea into future comps, but it would complicate things. I have trouble with people trying to follow and interpret the theme.
