Yes it does talk. When your driving and you didn't shut the door, It says (Right/Left) Door is open. Also when you forget to turn off the lights it says lights are on, and when you have little gas left, you know what it says lol.
Sorry we got no engine pictures I'll try to get some later.
So this is my father's car, trying to sell.
Thanks Guys/Girls.

10 grand for an automatic 1982 Z car with 120,000 miles on it? You'd have a hard time here. It seems to be in excellent condition though.
They go for about 5 grand here in that condition.

Ha you beat me to in Monkey! I'm sorry to say I have to agree my friend. Your asking price is about 4 to 5 grand more than any serious buyer would even consider. The car is in fantastic shape I give you that. However as monkey said its an automatic which greatly decreases the value unfortunately, good luck in your endeavors.

aww man, really? Well thanks for the tip...
EDIT: But why do they only go for 5 grand...and wasnt automatic more expensive than manual before?

Probably true, but it today's world, manuals are more sought after especially in these type of cars. Autos are just too bland in a Z.:D
Sorry you could not sell it, but you still won't if it is 10k. It looks prestine, but that is asking for way too much, especially for the age and mileage of the vehicle. Good luck to ya though.
I do have a question, why didn't you blur out your license plates?

lol this was pretty much the exact first car my dad had when he came to america. But yea Monkey said it, with 10,000 dollars i'd rather buy a stingray corvette sitting up the street for sale. 120k is a lot to.

Yeah, that Z looks great...really great condition. But that price, I guess its too much for that car. But looks really clean, thats kinda rare.

It's in great shape and rare but it's more than 20 years old, for $10,000 you could buy your self a 300ZX in good condition.

They go for 5 with a Manual.
I wouldent buy an auto in the 280, ruins the car.

^^Well you should say thats your opinion, because for some people, they like auto, so it doesn't ruin the car for everybody...

The engine doesnt have enough torque for the standard auto.
It strains the engine a bit and makes it less punchy, which is the Z's main appeal.

Well thats cool, but i'm just saying, im nto trying to argue, just saying that some people like automatic if they live in the city, because it could be annoying to keep switching down/up at lights, but in the country or if your a track guy, Manual FTW

I live in Houston, I sit in almost an hour of traffic a day one way, id still rather have a manual.

Quit arguing guys. Some people like the looks of the Z but don't want to shift. That's their prerogative...

On a side note, the audible warnings come from all things, a record player. I had one in my 82 280Z. I was laughing when I pulled the little box out of the rear panel, and took it apart.
Just thought you might find that interesting.

Yea, one guy sent an email to my day from ebay saying that he made him laugh because we made up the Edition "Golden Edition" when there actually was a golden edition, from what my father told me, when it came out it was all like accessoriesed and stuff. The guy didn't know what he was talking about, people like that really annoy me

I'll watch it when the price drops. It is a beautiful car and although I prefer a manual, I would still buy it with auto at the right price point.

I am not trying to be mean here at all, but the price you are looking for could get someone an original 240Z in the same condition, or with the V8 conversion.........I know mine would go if someone came up with that much money

Sorry for the delayed reposnse. I havent touched a PC since Thursday afternoon. Here in chicago we had hurricane griselda hit and its been a cleanup ever since.
The price I was thinking was about 5k actually. I know that is a LOT lower, but, that is what I may consider it for. Sorry to disappoint you. But, if you hold out, you may find someone closer to your asking price.

my dad spent about 5k restoring it with original parts, so we wanna make a bit more profit.

Your dad should now by now that you almost never get out of a car what you put into it, if he can do that good of a job in the restoration process. seriously it's the nicest looking datsun I've ever seen. granted, thats limited to about 15 or so, but still, it tops the list

We are going to lower the price if we don't have offers, but if someone is interested, we can negociate to a reasonable price.

I'll watch the thread to keep updated on your success. I am not in a hurry to purchase another car, I just keep my eyes open for good deals and I do love the old z's.
At the moment, I am drooling over a 91 M5, with under a 100 miles on the clock. The problem is that it is priced accordingly and I am having a hard time rationalizing this with my better half.
Thanks for updates on your z though!

5k ? on parts ?
I assume you replaced the struts, clutch, tires, and interior then ?
If its in pristine condition you might be able to find a Z collector who will want it for say 8k no problem.
The auto, as has been said 6 million times is a downside, but its not a serious problem.
Post it up on some local Z club sites. If its pefect you might see 10k.

Yea, my dad changed the tires, the interior, 5 layers of black paint, when its clean, it shines. He changed alot more but I can't really say what, we just changed the fuel injectors recently, he changed lots of other things.
