IMO the Focus!

Astra just of the design I don't care about performance much really of this small cars.

The 1 Series will whip all arses! :P

Nah, the RWD chassis, interior, styling, all of them takes the cake.

i think I have to shoose the astra simply through looks, but the bmw is a match to be reckoned with :)

1-series for RWD, and styling. Otherwise I'd go for the new Golf, BUT if we were in the USDM, i'd take a fully loaded mazda 3 :)

focus is the best track car of course after EVO, Scooby....
they even say that if it has more power and was AWD it will be faster!!!!

OK, the 1-series is undoubtedly and objectively the best one on everything (except interior space) and with a huge difference.
Having said that, the fight for the 2nd place will be tough between the Focus and the Golf. We don't know for sure yet, but the Focus may handle a bit better. I really don't know what Ford will do with this car, so I will form a final opinion only after the Focus is out and tested by mags etc.

Well, AUTOCAR tested the Focus-II against the 1-Series, Golf and Astra. The Focus-II won and handled better than the 1-Series.

Ok... we'll see, since the settings for the Focus haven't been finalised yet, I guess. And handling is a bit subjective. We'll see.

We will indeed! I hope BMW makes a M version of the 1-Series to fight the next RS! That will be a good battle!

Oooo...an M version BMW 1 series might actually be worth buying! No, I think I'd rather have a Mustang GT. :D

i have the Drive of 2003 they test Focus RS , Leon cupra R and Type R the focus was the faster in track!!!in my opinion i don't think that astra golf and series 1 have any chance against the RS. only one car is able to compare with RS .... Audi S3

The golf i like the new styling and think its a cool little car i just hope they made it more reliable

Well, we can always talk about the next RS... Which would be good against the Audi RS3.

IMO it's still too early to talk about the next RS... let's keep it to the "normal" focus for the time being.

looks wise
i like the astra & 1 series
i never liked the focus & prefered the mondeo
while the new golf sucks IMO

performance wise
i dont know much about the performance of the above cars as i hav neer sat in one & cannot pass any judgement :D

1 series, donut time when i think about it, plus its a BMW, how much better can you get in a hatchback...

No, I like it, it's just i like it's rivals better.

Well, I dont like the 1-Series, it looks odd and RWD has no place in that segment.

The looks are great and the (english) ad is even better.
