Everyone sees the Cayenne to be the first Supercar cum soft/off roader but 18 years predating it came the Lamboghini LM002. This monster tipped the scales at anything from 2700kg to over 3 tons and with first a Countach then Diablo (less horsepower, more torque )V12. The Lamboghini can still be ordered from the factory and optioned with everything from power windows and leather to bulletproffing and millitary spec. So, the question is which one would you rather have and/or take off road.

It's a Russian movie called "Brigade" it's about 4 friends who knew each other since 5 years old and when they grew up they became very respected criminals in Moscow. The main hero whos nickname was "White Sasha" or the real name Alexander Belov in the middle of the movie bought himself this partucular Lamborgini we are talking about. When I saw this car my first thought was that it's Russian "Tiger", which was designed for millitary purpose (millitary specialists admited that Tiger is better than American Hummer.) I found just 2 pictures of it in the whole internet http://www.cars.ru/pics/gaz_2975_2.jpg -- http://www.cars.ru:8100/pics/gaz_2975_1.jpg

The LM002 nicknamed Rambo-Lambo would be my choice. More cargo and people room than you'll ever need. Not too mention the intimidation of a Hummer H1 with Italian prestige. Also, it would be much more useful to take on camping trips.

These are two completely different cars.. It's like comparing an H1 to a Toureag. It's pretty much all opinion.. The Porsche Cayenne Turbo is one extreme street SUV with the same track time as the coveted Carrera, while the "Rambo-Lambo" (thanks Matt :P ) lives off the beaten path and must be treated like a Hummer or military vehicle. Personally, if I was an NFL played I would take both (because I could afford it) and use one for the street and one for the dirt. The Cayenne goes 0-60 in 4.8, while the Lambo climbs rocks 4.8 feet high.

I wanted to compare 2 totally different cars instead of comparing 2 the same. I got bored of the usual evo vs wrx stuff were the difference is marginal at best

Lambo for me. I don't like Cayenne very much i wish they never made it and the LM002 is much more unigue then Porsche. Another thing is that you can take Lambo off-road, Porsche rather not and if i need a car to streets then i would buy some sports car not SUV.

Definitely the Cayenne. I'm not a military-army freak so I basically hate any vehicle that has to do with the army. And the Cayenne is obviously a much better car overall...

I never said that this was a bad idea, I just said that it was basically all opinion and depended on which type of car you like.. its still a good idea. :)

The Lamboghini can still be ordered from the factory

Where did you get that information from? Must be 100% wrong, the LM002 is totally outdated and absolutely not within Lamborghinis product range (not anymore). At least not after Audi has taken over.

A source I would trust:
http://www.lambocars.com/framed/lm/lm002.htm

Production of this one-of-a-kind all-terrain vehicle was halted in 1992 [...] The total production was estimated at 328 units.

How dare you compare such an exotic to the mainstream Cayenne? Less than 400 LM002 were build, the Cayenne has a yearly production of ~40000. Anyway the Lambo had very bad reliability, nowhere near the Porsche.

i dont even wanna know what kind of mileage the lambo gets.... because our cayenne gets 9 city 13 highway.... I'll take the porsche, the other one is just hideously ugly, and i much prefer racing to offroading.

i agree with 12 inch pianist
i have seen one LM002 made in 1998 in a car show :-)
but the problem is that they use the countach V12 engine and they can´t be meany off them left

I'd take the LM002 because I towed on one once and they're amazing, and the Cayenne is the only Porsche I really don't like. Anything that can climb hills so steep most 4X4's wouldn't try to go down... That's for me! lol...

BTW...
cayenne of course!!!!! the other sux!!!!!

I shouldn't say this as a mod but oh well... you're an idiot. What the hell do you know about the LM002 that would even make that statement worth reading? That's the kind of crap that makes me enjoy editing posts!

Anyway I'd take the Porsche, I don't know why.
