hmm, I like this comparison, good choice,
I choose the Jag for a couple of reasons, 1, we own a limited edition x-type which although is a lot sportier than the "sport" x-type, is a very good car, 2, the interior for comfort on a long journey, Jag wins that too, and finally, which sounds better, i drive a small bmw, or i drive a Jaguar (with the funny accent 'Jaghuarr' (silent H) :P

Man, this is too easy for me. I never really like the X type's that much, so i'd easily go with the 330x.. though i'd like the regular one a little more :D

No competition for this; the BMW just reigns supreme in all aspects in this comparo. Ride, looks, handling, interior, the BMW whips the Jaguar.

Bimmer to me I think the Jag has a poor ride quality and bad styling but i never really fancied the X-type

Same here, plus the fact that I would think alot before I bought a British car, except TVR and the likes of course... (no offence SK37 :P )

none taken  :P
but think first before buying a british TVR mate, its Russian now :P
Noble (more reliable also) is about all thats left of British industry now, as well as a variety of smaller sports/performance cars like Radical and Westfield...

The jaguar because it looks better than the BMW. I don't think i can give a better description. I can't deny that the 3 series is an amazing car, but it's just dated and unattractive.

BMW, performance, styling, not mention it's a lot harder and more expensive to find replacement and repair parts for Jags over here.

haha, probably true over there, but here to replace a part on a BMW or Mercedes costs a fortune if you want a genuine part (lots of dodgy cheaper BMW & Merc parts around :?) but the Jag parts are actually the same as an average Honda or Subaru service/parts replacement. (I was going to say Ford, but they charge you a fortune over a load of unecessary crap  )

Radical
Man, I'd KILL to get my hands on a Radical SR3...
(and a proper road/track to drive it fast)
