^I'm really hope the STI is available as a sedan!!! But the new Impreza is disappointing already, making a hatch-only STI is too much! But, Subaru probably needs it to grasp some WRC wins.


But, that's only a dream. Subaru will probably test the loyalty of their fans and do all kinds of crazy and radical crap.....


For those who don't know, Subaru's testing for brand loyalty is a cycle every time a new Impreza comes out!

GC (first gen Impreza) guys hate GDB's(bug-eyed),
GDB guys hate the GD Type-II('03-'05),
GD Type-II guys hate the snout-nosed GD Type-III ('06-'07) ,
and EVERYONE hates the new wannabe-Toyota 4th gen GD ('08-'09)

Yeah i really hate the hatchback design but i think it should handle better since there will be weight distrobution. Plus if it looks anything like the new imprezza sedan(which in my opinion looks awful) id much rather take the hatch! Maybe theyll make a type 25 of this one as well, that would be pretty crazy!

Yeah a few weeks ago i was watching Fifth Gear that featured The Litchfield type 25, i was implying that when i said, sorry for the confusion! But yeah the difference they made in the already great sti was amazing!

Well um...:|. Its okay but the quad exaust are a little much. I like the hood scoop design its awesome. Man I miss the days of the 22B coupes though. A lot!:( Why don't Subaru come back out with a coupe it would be a hot seller. Have a sedan, hatchback and a coupe version a stacked line-up.

Yeah, the 22B was the best of the WRX's. They really decided to market the WRC connection with it, hence the awesome body kit. Maybe they could make a new one with the DCCD centre diff, etc, and the agressive styling of the WRC car.

I think it looks alright. But i really want Subaru to come out with a Coupe or Sedan edition, because that what STi's are known for, not small hot hatches. As for the car, it think it's alright, i like the front, it looks aggressive, also that huge hood scoop is cool. You also can't miss the quad exhausts which is just insane, the rims don't look too bad as well...

I can't really get much of an idea from this car, covered in all this black winding and stuff, it'd be much easier with all that gone and having a decent look and say on the car. The big scoop is nice, I like it, and the window designs are similar to that of a Mazda Sport Alexa Wagon's. On the whole it looks alright, unique from other designs, but I'm waiting on the full-body pics now...

Wow, after someone brought up the fat focus idea, now it actually looks like a fat focus. But stillllll... Im sure i'll love it later on when this thing actually comes out.

I wish people would explain things instead of just blurting crap out for the hell of it. Personally, I like the idea of the hatch and I like the shape of the new car.

if its going to be produced just like that, im gonna take one, this looks just too good for a Subaru...lol

the front looks like those sporty race editions of the Renault Megane apart from the front bumper, but it looks great, and i love the rear end as well, looks very clean, but i just dont like LED lights on subarus, just dont quite like that idea especially when they made all the LEDs visible and had a white background to make it stand out, which makes it look ugly

What Have They Done To It

I don't care for the test car's looks. But then, I don't really care about the looks at all. As long as the new STI offers better performance than any other STI yet, I'll be happy with it.

I dig. Not only are hatches a lot more sensible in the long run, but they have better weight distribution, usually weigh less than coupe/sedan counterparts, and like I said, make a lot more practical sense than some silly coupe or even a sedan. I even like the front end! It's got a very distinctive look to it, I think.

Besides that, it seems like this is the only car in the past 20 years that has actually gotten lighter in it's full makeover. Can't beat that with a 10 foot pole, especially considering this car is supposed to be a "performance" vehicle.

To say the least, I think it's awesome. Especially compared to that hideous mutant catfish new Evo. It always entertains me with you guys. If it's offered as a hatchback, you hope it's offered as a sedan. If it's offered as a sedan, you hope it's offered as a coupe. If it's offered as a coupe, you hope it's offered as a hatchback.

Me? I always want the hatch, and Subaru hit the nail on the head with this one.

I don't like hatchbacks. I mean that they should make a sedan sti. I don't like hatchbacks. This car is good but i am used to sedans sti's. Not hatchbacks. The previous generations are much greater.
I like its scoop in the hood. It looks good as in all scoobies. I can't see so much things because of these wrap tapes.

I mean for god sakes, its a four banger.

I think dual exhuast is overkill on a four, a quad tip is just silly.

It definitely doesn't have the Scoobie edge that I love about the rest of them. It'll be a great car, it just looks like a Japanese car trying to be Euro, I'm glad I live in the US where we'll get the Sedan.

This is what the MazdaSpeed 3 should've been.

i have nothing against the hatch design in general, but i wouldnt like this car no matter what body style, it just does nothing for me. i like the design of every one of its predecessors far more than this one
