Oooh, this one looks fun, but like some other members have said, the angle is a darn bit hard, it might be hard to find a good donor image the same angle as this like rims, front bumper, etc etc... and also the pic is a bit small, i was hoping for a higher resolution image to work on, because smaller ones are harder to lasso around..... :p but anyway it's a chevy after all, should be fun playing around with this.... hehe.... nice pic anyway.
i'll get started on this tomorrow, i haven't really got enough time for it today, I have a french exam tomorrow to study for... :(

Wow, great pic. The angle might be a bit tricky, but at least it's similar to the previous one on the eclipse so you should get an idea of what rims to get and how it will looks like. I'll get started as soon as possible since im on my laptop which doesn't have photoshop.

Wow, Murcielago Coupe, that looks really good, and I think this is the first time, that someone has actually changed the whole background and made the car look like it's there, not like its floating around....
and also you could have lassoed better around the edges, you've got some jaggy lines below the front bumper. the stripes are ok, but you have no reflections from the lights in the street on the car, so it looks a bit odd.... a darker paint job would have been nice..... but anyway, it looks really good.

Wow, that looks great. I really like the colour combo. The background is really nice as well. The only bad thing is your lassoing, its really messy. I can see some of the old paint job sticking out, especially in the front bumper and you side exhausts look fake. But anyways above average chop overall...

Hi welcome to SCF. Enjoy your stay.:)
You chop is nice, i like the Carrera GT rims and the front bumper from the C6-R goes in well with the car, it's just that you can see it doesn't blend in as well in some areas. Also a paint job change would be nice but still, a great chop...
If you want to put your image here then you could use

*cough* nivlek *cough*
chops looks okay...
@ Murcielago, that looks okay, but the paint is not that clean, messy round the headlights, windows, the back and the front, the stripes arent really clean too, they look okay, but the perspective is weird, and the exhausts looks abit too small for a Z06, lol...the background looks okay, but it dosent go with the car, theres the light shining on the car, there is no light reflection of the light, and so is the environment, it should be better if you changed it into somesort of a plain morning background, which would look much better, and then you missed to put the background bits behind the windows and the rear ones, and the shadow is not showing the ground quite right, anyways, good chop...
@ KenKai, welcome aboard mate, that looks pretty nice, the colour looks nice, fits the orange colour of the Z06, very nice, the intercooler thing, its flat, dosent look nice, dont be bothered next time if it dosent come out that nice, it looks wrong...then the wheels, the CGT ones looks great on the car, but im not sure, the rear ones looks weird and they are abit blurred...the side vents, they look okay, but well, you have to brush the lighter colour abit lower, i mean, the vent now looks weird and flat...nice chop anyways...

Nice chop Mullineux1. That F430 front looks really different on their, but it is really cool! Rims are great and they suit the car. Did you put a side skirt on? The airbrush looks good to, nice work.
Ferrari Underground
May 17, 2007, 6:58 AM
Oh My God Mullineux1 that is a brilliant chop. Excellent choice of front bumper, I really like it, looks very aggressive, the airbrushing is brilliant as well, but making it a bit darker or more visible would be better because then we would be able to see the vynil better... anyway, to the rims, they look good, the rear rim looks way to deep into the wheel though, but the front rim looks fine. The front rim is also a bit messy, some jagged edges are visible around the top-bottom sides. but anyway, apart from all that it's an excellent chop, the side skirt looks good as well. good chop overall. :)
Robbie
May 17, 2007, 7:46 AM
clutch, the smoothing stuff looks okay, but now the car looks weird, because it has literally no doors now...lol
mullineux1, i managed to spell your name correctly...
anyways, that looks all nice, just not the F430 bumper, otherwise its cool, the whole pic is blurry, so if you guys will all save them as a bitmap, PNG whatever format just not JPEG, it would be better, the wheels looks very clean, lovely one on the rear, the airbrushing looks good, gotta clean up the layer abit, theres some red paint left over on the A pillar, the side skirts also looks pretty well because youve just added a curve, but that looks pretty cool...the front bumper is flat, totally flat, change it or brush it and im sure it would have been way better, the angle of the car is hard, but if you will find a better donor for the front bumper, it would have been great

the paint looks good, you need to go around the rims with a thin black strip to make it look like the rims are actually attached to the tires. the back rim looks axactly the same as the front, can ya deepen it or something?
and the background looks great except for the bottom left part of it, as it not the same hight as the right side.
the floor dosnt meet the background properly.
anyways nice chop

May 18, 2007, 9:06 PM
I basically shaved the entire car and "adjusted" the air outlet behind the front wheel. I loved the shaved look and that is what I do. You can always notice the car can look different with shaved everything. No doors is even better, then you get in General Lee style. I also notice some harshness in the posts, which I really don't care for. Just because I don't add things like an F430 bumper doesn't mean I did a s*itty job.
The reason you don't see more things changed is because I don't have photoshop. I have paint and microsoft photo editor, and there is only so much I can do. Even if I get 0 points I like to participate and be a part of the comps.

Wow, Sonic, that yet again is a brilliant chop mate, I have hardly worked on mine, all I've done is a colour change... Oh well, I have 2 more days, that should be enough time. And sonic, great convertible look, although the colour of it doesn't match with that of the car though, make it lighter or lower some contrast of it. the scoop looks alright, not the best one i've seen, but looks alright anyway, looks very clean overall.... the rims are weird, they look 2D.... But apart from all those its a very good clean chop with a few errors thats all... i love your background as well.
Robbie
May 19, 2007, 3:24 AM
sonic, its a hood scoop, not a roof scoop...
nice conversion, very nice interior donor, nice, the lines looks okay over the convertible part of the car, nice colour, nice background, this background sutis the original picture more, but again, lighting seems weird because of the background, the wheels are flat and it isnt really taste because i dont know, all the wheels dosent suit the car except for mullineux1's chop...nice hood scoop, i really wont get it on the car, but thats a nice try, not really commenting on it much

http://img241.imageshack.us/img241/4426/corvettechop3ek7.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
As you can tell I put a turbo in it (coz theres an intercooler there duh) and I did some other crap. I actually made about 4 different chops all different colours and stuff and this one looks the best.
Robbie
May 19, 2007, 6:25 AM
the rubber on the window sills or whatever they are called are hard to do, they reflect the red colour of the original car...otherwise, the colour looks awsome, though the window sticker looks abit weird...the wheels looks good, very nice, abit blurry and weird on the rear ones, but this one fits the car the best for now, the intercooler looks okay, abit blurred but bah, its cool, the smoothing isnt really clean, the vinyl is good, and thats much about it...nice chop!
GT King
May 19, 2007, 6:29 AM
Wow James, im stunned. That is an excellent chop. I like your idea of making it turbocharged sine most corvettes are supercharged so it's nice to have something unique. The rims are awesome as well, they suit the car. Oh, and the tribal vinyls, they're cool, same goes for the Callaway front bumper. According to my eyes, i cannot see any errors. It's probably the best chop so far, great job!
I'll start my chop probably now, haven't started yet, eek!
jamesy
May 19, 2007, 7:27 AM
I fixed it up a bit. Sharpened up the intercooler, got rid of the vinyl to clean up the car a bit, and added a HUD:

May 19, 2007, 7:33 AM
again, you could work on the front bumper fog lamp smoothing abit, and the intercooler now looks good, but now the more i look at it, i think you should move the I/C abit to the left side and add the little bit of tubing, it would make it abit better...
then, the HUD, its not a HID unless you are talking about the headlights, oh damn, i forgot to comment that before, they look good with the black, very nice...
onto the HUD, they look okay, its abit weird, i dont know why, but heck, its good...i like it, but the real Corvette HUD isnt like this though, is it? :p

Don't think so, because on that dash thing on the speedo it says the cars top speed is 120mph.:p Don't think my turbo vette can only do that. And the intercooler doesn't have tubing on that side. I just checked and yeah.:)

Jamesey that is the best chop in this competition so far. The only thing I can say is that you need to flip the HUD. Place it on the car as what the driver would see it, right now the driver is looking at everything backwards. Take out the oil, fuel, and temp guages and leave the speedo and RPMs.

@ GT King, really looks good at first glance, but let's go through this when you actually take your time to look through it. nice choice of paint, looks good, the rims are alright, but they do look a touch blurry and you have some weird black stuff over the top-left side of each rim. the meshe grille looks good as well, no major issues with that, and the lowering is good too. well done, its a good chop overall.

Nice entries everyone.... Especially Sonic and Mullineux1... their's are great chops.
Anyway... I think 2 weeks for a ps comp is a bit too long... dont you think? all of us are basically all finished with our chops, I don't really see a point in waiting much longer.... 1 week was fine.... Change back to one week please.
jamesy
May 24, 2007, 7:25 AM
^Not up to me. Skyline luva is going to start the voting on sunday. Two weeks is the perfect amount of time because it ensures everyone has enough time to complete their chop to the best of their ability.:)

Yes I agree, some of us are very busy and its hard when you only have one week to complete a chop, trust me I know.
Ferrari Underground
May 24, 2007, 7:34 AM
Well for me I usually get started on the chop straight away as soon as I see a new Ps Comp been released. I usually finish it on the same day and I can hand it in....
But how about a little rule:
if a Ps Comp remains unactive/no entries submitted for 4-5 days or something like that, the voting thread starts...
atleast it's an idea. :p
GT King
May 24, 2007, 8:12 AM
Well for me, i generally like 1 week more since 2 weeks is just a big wait for me since i usually give it in early. But if you think about everybody else which you should, 2 weeks is a fair time since some people have to go to work etc etc so they don't have time. For example Chiso, he posted his chop on the 2nd week, if there was only 1 week then it would be too late for him to submit an entry.
So i think 2 weeks is good.
And that rule you made up, this thread hasn't been inactive yet, the last chop was posted 3 days ago by Chiso and the last post was by me. So that rule won't be a very successful one i guess...

Wow Sonic that is an awesome chop! The only thing I can find wrong is the Red Bull decal, you should delete the white behind it. But that is the best chop so far, you have my vote.
Edit: Thats the same Corvette decal I used on my chop.

Nice chop there Sonic, ad well done on putting on those decals. They look very clean. But I don't really prefer that chop of yours you just did now, I liked your convertible chop a lot better than this one. The decals do make it look a bit ugly/weird, The convertibe one was very clean, looked excellent, and there weren't that many errors/problems with it...
But nice chop anyway....

Wow, brilliant chop sonic. Turning a Chevy Corvette C6 into a C6.R just by photoshop takes a lot of skill! I love it, the decals looks nice and the Mclaren F1 rims look brilliant. The spoiler is nicely done as well. As far as i can see, the only error is the red bull decal which looks unrealistic. If you take that out then i think it's perfect!

its probably me that points out all the mistakes here, but i wont because im just too much of a perfectionist...
but hell, the window does look weird, i dont know what its suppose to look like, but its weird, and the other side of the doors looks like that its gone, but thats pretty nice already, other is quite good exvcept for the rear wheels, which are blurry and they are all flat, and the spoiler looks too blurry, and yea, delete some of white part of the red bull sticker, and probably brush the door panel gaps because you have door panel gaps or whatever they are, they are missing...and all you gotta do is probably making it yellow
perfectionist advice...lol...:p
try to get the stickers going with the lines of the car...not like making it flat...something like that...

^You need to clean up all the decals, they just look ''stuck'' on there, and not really actually plastered onto the car. But good chop though.
