With the release of the new BP Ultimate(100 octane), i found the opportunity to post this msg..What do u know about the new BP gas?.What gas do u guys use? Do u prefer to change manufacturers? As for the vpower and the vpower racing, if anyone uses them, have u seen any difference?

we only have 95 96 and 98 ...
100 still didn't get here ...
the 95 and the 96 have the sameprice...
but 98 is called the super... its better for sports cars they say but im not really sure about that ...

Our Alfa is quite a bit quicker below the 4000 RPM when he gets his ULTIMATE POWER!
So were driving nothing else than Shell!

Shell is great I think and the octanes are 99 I think.I put this in my Punto(1.200 cc,62 bhp)and I got a 190 Km/h top speed in straight road.That's the speed that the codeur showed.I don't know the real but this gas makes the car better.My opinion.I didn't put BP with 100 octanes yet.It could be better.

BP 100 is certainly cheaper than the VPOWER Racing...The Shell costs 1.30 Euros while BP 0.95...

Well , i don't know but what does that : Octane in the fuel means?

They asked me which gasoline i prefer it's Shell , because the car runs better on it!!

The car is a less agressive , if you turn out a corner and hit the throllte a bit i't goes with Shell REALLY more smooth!

Below the 4000rpm we have more power than with BP

IN the car the engine making not as much sound like if were fill him up with BP!!

I never test that BP octane 100 ( or something ) but that could be better indeed!

But for now , I know for sure the alfa runs a lot BETTER with shell!!

I didn't say the diffrence between BP and SHELL , is 1.5 sec. from 0-100 km/h or something but there is absolutly a diffrence!!!

Here in the Netherlands the price for both type of gasoline is the same!!
Shell is not more expensive than BP!!

The BP Ultimate with 100 octanes exists only in Greece for the time being (yes, ONLY in Greece!! :shock: ), and the Shell V-Power Racing exists only in Greece and the Chzeck (sp?) Republic (Tsexia). You can read that in the new '4Troxoi' Magazine. There is no significant difference in performance, so I use normal unleaded (or normal super for the old car).

The octane is a chemical substance (C8H18 ). The number of octanes in a fuel is a percentage. For example, a 98 octane fuel, when burnt, gives the same energy compared to a solution with 98% octane and 2% eptane (C7H16).
