Ah, new season started already, eh?

Well, I dig it. After fiiinally seeing one live at the NYIAS, I can say I was nitpicking about the headlights.

Nice noise, bit more rasp from a V8 than when I think of one's sound, but that's due to the displacement and revs.

I did however, always think it's more of a 911 Turbo rival.

Nice video imo. Then again, it's 5th Gear, and they've got decent quality, good music this time around.

i was sitting upstairs last night actually thinking when is fifth gear back on, then my brother comes up and tells me the audi R8 is about to come on TV. I nearly murdered him, for not telling my sooner.

What the vid dosen't show though is that Tiff goes onto say that between the Vantage, carrera and R8, he'd take the Vantage.

Personally that video just made my love the R8 more than i already do. The car is amazing, the only thing that could not make my favourite sportscar in its catergory(which is quite big) is the new Maserati Granturismo, but since its not here yet, i can't tell.

very nice vid.. tiff is a very good driver... and 5th gears editing (which got much better) in the video makes the R8 look really good..

That was actually quite good. Beautiful car too, and they actually threw some Muse into that soundtrack didnt they...

Damn, I never knew a new series was on, I missed that episode! Unlucky me, have to catch it next week I suppose.

Anyway, thnaks for posting up that video, quite good, it probes the Audi has the looks, and the speed, seems to like it, and it sounds great aswell, probably worth all the dosh I reckon.

I doubt it will be as much as an Turbo rival as we all want it to be.
Porsche now holds 30% of the VAG shares, and did an offer just a few days ago on all the shares of Volkswagen. It's not really serious, because German stock exchange rules says you must do an offer on all the shares when you have more then a certain amount(not so sure what that is).

It's not that Porsche wants to own complete VAG, but they do want a minorty importance in VAG so they can control competition from Audi, Lambo etc.
