No, the oil change will always give you more power 100%, even try it i guarantee you.

It's just that when you get a used car, the hp will rise more since the oil is older, maybe around a 5+hp gain, but when it's new, you still get more power but not as much, maybe -5hp more hp.

Not sure why this happens, might be a glitch, but trust me, it works!;)

Can we please organize one with a better car. I understand your concept, and I love it. I bought this game for the speed though. I would really not want to lap fuji in a miata if we could be doing it in a skyline, or ruf that would be amazing.

If anyone is up for a challenge like this we can set one up. I just dont want to set up another challenge that no one bothers to do.

yeah but my point is, I didnt buy GT4 to play with a "pretty decent" car. I bought it to play with cars that were so fast it mesmerized me. Why play with a car limited at 50,000 credits when we can play with the JGTC cars and mod those. Come on its so easy to see.

The oil change will give you extra power only if you just purchased a brand new car or a second hand car from the second hand dealer, after the first oil changed and you got the extra power, say from 278bhp and it will probably boost up to 315bhp...etc... then it will eventually drop back 1 or 2bhp after a long race so you will only have 313-314bhp, so after a long race, go and have the oil change and it will restore back to 315bhp, but the horsepower will drop as the engine mileage clock-up, so after a very long time, you will probably find out your car only has about 312bhp, and even if you do the oil change, it still won't go back to the original 315bhp... the engine will wear-out thats why...

Nice driving... and I was just wondering why the picture is so blurry, then I found the answer after I read your message... I think you set the cellphone camera as "close up", so when you take a picture from a distance, it tends to give you a blur picture... well, thats what happens with my phone anyway...

Its because the makers of Gran Turismo decided that when you buy a car it has standard oil, and the oil change is to performance oil. I remember seeing this on a website or something lol
