65k? for that thing? wow that price seems too good to be true. I would expect it to be a lot more expensive from looking at it.

So lets see ... translating it in to currency that I can make more sense of (stupid canadian $) ... it would be $75,730.04.

Wow so then for the price of a Porsche Boxster you could land one of these. Dont get me wrong, I love the Boxster, but I think this is an amazing price for the car.

Ohh of course ... that all makes tons more sense now. I should really look more closely before making those assumtions.I guess if it seems too good to be true, ti probably is. Oh well, it still looks awesome IMO.

Yes its a kit. You can buy the rolling chassis for alot less and add the drivetrain of your choice. From a Hondas (F-18,F-20,F22 or H-22) to a z-tec. Just recently some highscool kids built one of these using a VW Turbo Deisel (BioDeisel) running off soybean oil .

TO good to be true? Because its a Kit? There are alot of "Kits" out there that are amazing. Noble, Ultima, Evens 486, To name a few.

Oh yea I know there are some awesome kit cars out there, but all Im saying is that had it not been a kit car and actually manufactered, the price would be higher on the car.

hahahah ok . Well It would probally be less if alot of these were full blown production cars. But being made in limited numbers makes them higher priced

No it is not. It uses the motors I posted above. Some highschool kids in PA built this kit With some teachers and 15k and made it hybrid. Using a VW Turbo motor and A electric motor running on soybean oil. IT gets 50 MPG

here is K1 Website http://www.k1-styling.sk/menu.php?page=100

Also if you would like the video of the HS kids http://www.k1-styling.sk/images_videos/sponsored%20by%20K1.wmv

http://www.autoblog.com/2005/08/15/hybrid-attack/ Just as I was complaining about there not being any hybrids that I'd buy, here I've stumbled upon one by accident. It's called "The Attack" and it's a hybrid supercar with over 300 hp developed from a AC electric motor powering the front wheels and a 1.9L VW TDi biodiesel powering the rears..

you forgot the rest of the article. ....

and the best part is, this super-hybrid didn't come from the Big 3 or some obscure Euro supercar maker, "The Attack" is the work of the West Philadelphia High School Electric Vehicle Team - a group of 6 high school, YES, high school kids. Mad props to these kids for giving a new meaning to "pimpin' my ride". WORD.

I only went to prove my point that its a hybrid..

I said that some kids took the kit and made it a hybrid. Read my posts.(#13)

The car is not developed as a Hybrid. it is developed using honda or ford drivetrains.

slipondajimmy
Mar 25, 2006, 7:07 AM
1,225,000.00 is the buy it now price. Well they did make a nice hybrid. And to think they did on a 15k dollar budget. Granted the kit(no motor) was donated to them im sure. Its almost 30k

Just goes to show it wont take the big car companies to so it.
