both cars are exactly the same but i have to admit the Subarus better than the Lancer. and the new 2006 impreza wins hands down.

the 06 imprezza wins the ugliest car of the year award..
And Subaru win's the nastiest flame surfacing ad campaign of the year award aswell..
And they still hold the title for crappiest exhaust tone in the motorsports world. After stripping the title away from "racing barstools" back in 89'

the new imprezza has that front grille that's supposed to relate back to their aircraft engineering beginnings, but honestly, i can think of MANY other ways they could have done the grille.:-k

Wait a sec before you go too far.... You;re claiming that subaru (as a whole) is better than mitsubishi (as a whole), and you've failed to show any proof whatsoever.
Anyways the EVO IX and the Imprezza STi are about $1,600 apart, and the 15hp difference barely makes much of a difference between the two. Yeah, the STi's might be a little better on the track (if any at all), but if you put $1600 into the evo's tires and brakes, im sure it'll beat an imprezza. Or do you wanna talk about speed? $1600 is good for at least 30 hp@ the crank (greatly depending on where you use it). Should i dig deeper?
Yea opinions are good, but they dont compare to facts.

the new impreza has new technoligy that can out preform the lancer anyday and im talkin about stock .... not lancers that need to be pimped / chaved, just to beat the new impreza subaru has more power and potential than the lancer. and the Evo is too technical, it would remind anyone of the new BMW M5 where it does 0 - 60 in 30mins because that can has more computers than Bill Gates work place, and lancers have a reputation to break down alot where subarus can just keep going. and the extra 15bhp in the impreza comes with a huge turbo to give it extra power so the new impreza will beat the lancer.
your coment is not fact its your opinion, you cannot prove that where as i have seen a subaru and mitsubishi both had the same amount of money spent on them and they cost exactly the same and the subaru still won in a race

Nah. That's not what im saying. Yeah, stock for stock, im sure the subaru outperforms the evo a little.. It's natural. It's got a few andvaces over the evo. But you have to realize that that does come with the price tag. It IS more expensive. Im not speaking my opinion. I've done the research, and honestly, the only real thing i have against the STI is it's grill (06 model). I'd take either one any day, but you've still no proof...Well.... I'll show 3 examples...:

There once was a 400bhp version of the Evo that kept up with a murcielago on to gear.
