Default 2009 Supermini's!

Ok, so with the economy in full meltdown and fuel prices going towards the golden gates, car makers and consumers are heading more towards small economical cars. In 2009, we will see the new Ford Fiesta and new Honda Jazz join the current crop of european supermini's. The great news for America though, is that obviously, the new Jazz and Fiesta are going to be sold there, along with the Fantastic Mini... So, which do you think is best, and which would you rather spend your money on?

Ford Fiesta

Honda Jazz

Mini Cooper

Vauxhall/Opel Corsa

Peugeot 207

Renault Clio

You're missing the Fiat 500!

If I had to choose between these cars it would be the Mini because Emma Watson says so.

Mini, no doubt in my mind. I've driven an '05 Cooper S for a couple thousand miles, and absolutely love it. I drove an '08 GTi 6 speed tonight with high hopes, but was so disappointed compared to the Mini!

Can't beat the handling, looks, interior, and all around fit of the car.

It was hard between the Mini and the Fiesta. I've never been in or even seen the Fiesta, but it looks quite attractive on my computer monitor...

But, i went with the Cooper becuase i've seen a lot of them, and been in it for a few times, and droved it once. I love that car.

The Peugeot 207 is the ugliest car I have ever seen. It's not even quirky-ugly, or alternative-ugly. It just looks terrible. It's like they've had many small groups designing different parts, and then a month later put all the designs together on a chassis.

The Fiesta looks pretty good, that green is a good alternative to the spew green they throw at everything, but they really need to think of another wheel design away from the snowflake theme they've hit on.

The Clio and Astra/Corsa look unexciting, and the Mini is ok, but I'm getting bored of it, so my go is the Jazz/Fit.

Fiesta.

The others are largely unappealing, save for the Fit, but, I know the current car is more win.

And more than that, I really want this to work for Ford, and I've always wanted to support Ford in any way I can, so, even though I know the Fit will be a damn good car, I'll take the Ford, just so I can more satisfied with myself, and having the blue oval on the front. And, I'm sure it'll be a pretty cool car too.

I wouldn't buy another supermini, I think that since the 90's they've all gone a bit 'soft'.

However, if I had to choose one for my girlfriend, it would be between the Clio and the Mini. It would probably end up being the Mini too, if she got her way.

I just don't like the look of the new Fiesta. Or the old one.

is the jazz smaller than the fit? I would pick the mini cooper (but I don't think it's a supermini)

There is nothing supermini about any of these. Why do they call it that?

You cant even call the mini and mini. WHY ARE THEY TRYING TO DO MY HEAD IN!?

Anyway, of those I would pick the Mazda 2. I really liked the current Fiesta until I drove it, but I do really like the Mazda version. I'm still trying to get my girlfriend to buy one.
