I rather have the Jag. Neither of these cars are meant to tear up the race track IMO, so are more focused on cruising down the road. The Jag i feel is a better car for that, and it does with such great looks. The Ferrari does what the Jag does on the road but with much more track capability, but that doesn't justify the price tag.

I'd take the Jag. I think it's the best looking car of this decade so far, and it does the job it was designed for more convincingly than the Ferrari. The Ferrari is a bit too far on the sporty side to pull off the cruiser style – the interior in particular is too hardcore. Also, the rear is hideous.
My only problem with the Jag is that the coupé loses some of the classiness of the roadster. Generally, I'd prefer a coupé to a roadster, but the fastback body shape combined with those tail lights makes the F Type Coupé look like a Stormtrooper or something. |

Yeah, I've been kinda MIA for the past few months. Been completely overhauling my room, and trying to sell my Fiat privately after VW decided to **** me over. (Great news! Your Up just arrived at our dealership floor. We're offering you 20% less for your 500 than the price we agreed upon six months ago though. Hope that's okay with you.)
Anyway, I think the hips look more prominent on the convertible since they're not adjoined by a C-pillar. But I should probably reserve my final judgment until I've seen more pictures of the Coupe. The amateur shots we've seen probably don't do it justice. And I think I remember Ian Callum saying that the Coupé show car was actually a mock-up based off the roadster. It looks like a real coupe though – there's nothing that looks makeshift about it, so I might have misinterpreted something. |
