I enjoyed Gears of War quite a lot. I still do, as a matter of fact.

There hasn't been another game I've played that gives you the same level of gore when you destroy someone with a shotgun or snipe their head off with a rifle or when you chainsaw someone to death.

The story is all right. The characters are somewhat compelling. I think Epic did a fine job with the mechanics of the game. Sometimes controlling a character is difficult like if he accidentally grabs cover when you still wanted to run, you just have to take it in stride, dive off of cover and hold "a."

I make that **** look good.

I still haven't mastered hip firing yet. It's an absolute skank.

Final words; the game has a high learning curve.

I was actually talking about picking up an xbox 360 next time I have the money, but if you want to send me yours for half the shipping that sounds good to me as well.

Lambo......Gw1 as in gears 1 or Guild wars 1?

FYI...Those who hate Gears of war...are against storytelling...

The game, whether it's top tier quality or not...is a awesome story....that makes you WANT to finish..

Halo did the same so lambo if you "had to buy or ATLEAST play all the halos" just to experience the story in it's entirety yourself...

You will get the EXACT same affect with gears because it will suck you in, in THAT regard.

I agree, GOW had a good storyline and feel to it. Fun stuff. Games seem to really lack storyline anymore.

GOW story was ass. GOW2 was better, GOW3 was d-grade garbage.

You played it for the macho bullshit, that was the appeal. And then GOW3 came along with its super easy difficulty and threw all good will out the window.

Just like Mass Effect 3. Fuck Bioware.

Hey guys, how about Halo 4?

I want GTA V to be released already.
youtube.com/v/02gklzQQMMs&loop=1 Oh and this is what Ferrari308 says I sound like when I'm talking on Xbox Live
If it has the same geographic diversity, it'll beat GTA:SA as best GTA game ever (in my eyes).

Speaking of games...

Diablo III patch 1.04 was rolled out yesterday...

what does it change?

Well

-Inferno is slightly easier, so playing with a team now makes sense
-You get MASSIVE amount of gold and Item drops
as in you see 2-3 rares constantly dropping.
-Repairs are much much cheaper, so now you don't loose money... example... before, i would play inferno... die so much that my stash would go from 400k to 100k gold in just 2-3 hours.... now I play the same levels, and can make 300-400k gold.

but most importantly

NEW LEVELS...

there are 100 new levels... while you do not get any stats or any skill points you build MF and gold find.. 3% per level... which having the game the way it is, make it great.

and the 100 new levels are to take the same amount of time to accomplish as going form lvl 1 to 99 in diablo 2.

So now you have to do 60 lvls first, then you do another 100...

so its back to a repeatedly played game...This is what they should have done at the beginning... but alas its here now... and in good time, because I was pretty much given up on the thing.

no.. its basically D2.. with a fixed skill system.. meaning you can now experiment all you want with builds, without having to re roll a character...

other than that its not open world... still need to join games, you still look for games around what you want to do... you can still trade if you want, or just use the Auction house which simplifies things...

You are still doing exactly what you did in D2... Doing boss runs to lvl up and find equipment to trade or keep... The minor difference, is this game promotes longer team play.. meaning if you play act 1 form the beginning you will find better items by the time you hit the boss, than if you just do the boss.

The only thing missing is the dueling.. which they said they are working on.

Here is the thing... I liked the game, then got bored of it.. now its back to being a repayable enjoyable game.... a hell of a lot more worth the $60 than originally.... its still your basic hack and slash game.

Only one complain the dificulty has dropped too much it should be raised a bit. But over all great and one correction with each new parthagon lvl you still get stats such as str and dex.

True. Variety of cars and vehicles + modifications + lots of roads and places to explore = freakin' fun that's hard to beat

And of course, the Subaru Impreza WRX was in it with styling similar to the real one

Sadly, the Sultan in GTA IV may still have the properties of the WRX, but doesn't look like a Subaru anymore. It's a mad mis-mash of different cars.
The STI-equivalent, the Sultan RS, makes the car a bit closer to the STI with the hood-scoop variant, but still the styling is still mis-mashed.

I think Diablo 3 is fuggen great.

I've played it sort of consistently since it came out and I'm still entertained.
