Default Paint on Paint - NO

I went to a show a couple of weeks ago and took my vette. I decided to clean my vette and saw this in the morning. Vette is not my DD.

I know the vinegar and water will not take this out.

Here is the paint on paint on my rear fender.

That or a really strong label adhesive remover. We've gotten some paint off cars (like road lane paint) with it at the wash.

On metal surfaces, forget about it. But if the bumper is plastic, it might be worth giving it a try.

Have you tried having those girls hump the fender?

If anything else it'll probably be hot.

If and only IF you can immediately buff/wax the location later.....

i suggest using some quality facial exfoliant and elbow grease....

it will be the easiest on the clear top/layer and will take off the paint....then you clay it

I'll have the left and the right ones.

And be careful when enter/exiting the gas pump.

Thanks all for the reply. I did not make it to the store yesterday due to other obligations.

This will be a weekend project.

I'll update over the weekend with pics.

Thanks.

Use a very fine rubbing compound or polish with a microfiber cloth, it will come off no problem with no signs that ever occurred.

^^^^Facial scrub....much cheaper and readily available than proper paint-house detergents/abrasives..

My thoughts as well.

My sister once scraped her Ranger along a pole at work one day. Scraped up the entire passenger side of the bed, my mom scrubbed at it very lightly with steel wool and water and the yellow came off. Granted, there was still a lack of paint from what the pole took off....and it was a Ranger, but still. It worked like that charm.

Yeah I'm gonna go ahead and say don't use steel wool.

Just...no, don't do that.

I will second the steel wool... that thing will strip the clear coat in a second.
