I hate people with those obnoxious bumper stickers on their cars. Do you guys get the 'down and out' style stickers too? Usually adorning a VW of some sort.
Assholes.

So many things to say and questions Id ask, like would this be my second car or replacing what I drive right now?. I'd choose the new scion/Subaru thing it just looks so damn good it's also the lightest car here so it probably handles the best as well. The genesis is close but I could never imagine myself with a hyundai, the civic si is a great car but has aged and needs a new body ASAP. And the mustang although it has 300hp coming from a v6 you don't buy a mustang for the v6 you have to have a v8, imagine getting a corvette with a 6cyl, doesn't make any sense. And is the Mazda fwd or what?

They gave the Si a new body and it sucks. So I put the old one.

Should have thrown an e36 M3 in the mix, if used cars are fair game.

I'd get an E36 M3 over all of these cars. Hands down. Wouldn't even have to think about it. It's better.

actually a used Porsche turbo is cheaper than ALL of those cars. Assuming 25k per car of coarse.

For what generation? a 993 sure as **** isn't cheaper than 25k. Maybe a really high mileage 996 or a high mileage 930

If things got to the E36....
I can and would pick up 2 of those with decent mileage for the price of the BRZ/FT86. I was just waiting for someone to mention it in this thread... Only downside that I see would be the factory warranty, but the BRZFT86 is a car that's yet to be proven reliable, and the first batch's potential issues for the BRZFT86 are yet to be diagnosed and sorted out (Im sure the first batch of cars wont be perfect) Plus the FT86 will be likely to depreciate pretty fast in the hands of first owners... The E 36s have already depreciated their share, I believe the values of the well maintained examples are climbing right now... And then there is the S52 and the performance that corresponds I would be (very) looking forward to a test drive of the BRZFT86 at local toyota-subaru dealership (from which I coincidentally bought a used 3 series ) but a test drive and that's all. I want to check the car out first person, despite my slightly negative opinion of it.Last edited by ^@n+ag3 r$ : Mar 29, 2012 at 10:13 PM. |

He also said e36's were going up. He clearly doesn't know what he's talking about.
