Default Official: Porsche GT3 RS

The new Porsche GT3 RS is ready, it's 20 kg lighter then the standard GT3. It still has the same 3.6L 415Hp engine. It's a tenth faster to 60mph/100kmh then the GT3, 4.2 seconds to be exact.
It'll be available in silver, black, orange or green.

I'm really digging the orange/black paint scheme

20kg less is hardly worth paying extra for.

I thought the normal version goes 0-100km/h just in 4.1seconds based on www.Rsportscars.com .
I would still take the Normal GT3 over this one...I don't think it looks good in orange...I would like it in Black and the "GT3 RS" in White.

Wow i love that colour scheme... Nice car.
The only thing i don't like too much, is that the interior seems still very "smart" and luxurious, not sporty enough.

BTW: thanks for the pics

i'll go on a major diet and reduce 20 kilos from my body...rather than paying for a diff version which is 20 kilos less.i like the color combination.sad it's not there for the normal gt3

It's only 20 kg lighter, it's uglier than the 996, it has got traction control - unlike the 996, and you can not get it in the classic RS colors! What's there not to hate?

It'll be faster than the old one around the Nurburgring. I love the orange and the green options, but how about white w/ red scripting???? Not a huge fan of the wing, but it's there for a purpose anyway. I can't wait to see an official track time. If anyone hears anything, PLEASE POST!!

the big difference is in the suspension which as slightly toned down spec of the GT3RS race cars. remember this is nothing but a holomagation(spelling?) special to satify current racing series. as good as the new GT3 is, if it were good enough to race then they wouldn't offer to sell the RS. plus it has a standard roll cage, fire extinquisher, and metal suspension brushings. all of which you can not get on a standard GT3. i can't believe they're actaully sellin it in the U.S.

I'm betting that lack of weight came second place to increasing the handling, stiffer springs, firmer shocks, etc...

Porsche isnt stupid, I'm sure the RS IS pretty different then the base model GT3. I'm sure they didn't just take off 20 lbs and thats it. It's gota handle a lot better somehow, I havnt read all what they upgraded, but I bet its better.
