Default Bentley Continental GT Flying Spur

Bentley has just released images of its new, four door cousin to the stong selling Continental. The Flying Spur, as it will be called, shares its name from the 1952 four door descendent of the R-Type Continental. The Flying Spur shares the same W-12 from the Continental. Power output stays the same along iwth the 6-speed automatic. 0-60 is predicted to come in at around the 5 second mark, with a top speed of 190 MPH.

Its an alright car, though I don't see much point to it. Still the performance is good, should give the Quattroporte a good run.

No, I'm pretty sure it hasn't. I did a quick search, and nothing popped up. If it has, the mods can lock it.

I'd like to see one in the flesh before rating. Certainly I don't question the performance and quality of these Volkswagen efforts at Bentley- they have been nothing short of a renaissance for the marque.

But having seen numerous Continental coupés in the flesh, I find the design rather bland- oddly un-Bentley- nearly Toyota. Which I suppose is not a bad thing if one prefers anonymity. Personally, if I had 150k to shell out for a GT, I'd want a more distinctive design. From the photos the saloon appears to be a more successful endeavor to this end.

Quite elegant.. how much will this cost? Better be cheaper than a Maybach 57, or they might be in big trouble..

I don't think it will cost more than a Maybach, The interior is sooo beautiful. Except the exterior design, I don't know, it looks kinda cheap, Volkswagen cheap, especially from the back. I checked the Bentley page and made my own Bentley with their car configurator, there are so many fabrics you can choose between for the interior, and the wood, very nice.

The flying spur be around $200,000USD. It's meant to be the "little brother" to the Arnage, as the Continental GT is the "little brother" to the [expensive convertable....Cornice successor...mental blank..can't remember name]. The Maybach 57 is $300,000. It's a direct competitor with the Arnage R, as the Maybach 62 ($350,000) is a direct competitor with the Arnage Red Label.

Are you talking about the Arnage Drophead coupe. Thats only a concept, and besides that the Continental is the only coupe in Bentley's range.

If you take the word "Bentley" down to its Latin roots, the definition is "cool car, sh*tty wheels."

The performance is there, the luxury is there, the design is there, but what the hell are those wheels?!

The wheels aren't terrible, but they certainly aren't good looking....sort of like the Mercedes CL600/S600 wheels. I think it would look nice with the 19in. stock Cont. GT wheels, the 5 spoke ones.
