Audi A5 2007

On May 10, 2006 Audi officaly comfired they will put its new coupe A5 in production in 2007.(how's that nobody of you guys didnt post somethink about it here already

It will be placed between A4 and A6 as in size as in price. As i know it will be based on completly new platform on wich new A4 probably relesed in 2009 will be based on too.
VW has also plans with this platform to make somethink bigger then Passat but smaller then unsucsesful Pheaton. Infact they already have had planes to make exsisting Passat that big, but at the end they keep it in class it belongs to by tradition. There are roumors it will be 4 door coupe like CLS and Porsche Panamera. This car will probably be presented at 2007 Frankfurt saloon.

Much more is known about A5 wich will be 2 door coupe and clasical soft top cabrio wich will replace exsisting A4 cabrio. It will be direct concurent to MB's CLK and BMW's 3 coupe.

I like it. So its like a coupe version of the A4? Reminds me of the Alfa GT in that pic.

Hmm...
If the Audi A4 is a concurrent of theBMW 3-series.
And if the A5 is a concurrent of the 3-series coupe.
That means that the A5 in fact is a Audi A4 Coupe!

The style of the A5 looks like the Audi TT style.

The A5 looks IMO a bit like the Afa Romeo GT too. That's also a concurrent for the Audi A5

Looks good...
Audi is getting more develop .
It kinda reminds me of Nuvolari .

I mean the style of the front in particular. The rest of the car is more different, though the window has the same shape.

From what I can see the only difference between it and the TT is the rear quarter panel. Looks higher up like the Alfa GT.

How can you guys be sure that this is the final A5? This might just be work of some freelance artist who was paid by an automotive magazine to do the "car". I'm sure Audi will come up with something that all of us will like :-)

well alot of people seem to think that whatever pic is posted is what its going to be.

yes its a photoshop based on the tt.

but i doubt its going to look anything like it.

It looks a bit too chunky and square for me. Audi have tried to make it look like the TT but instead it looks like a moronic Q7. The lines are too chunky, they should have made it look like a coupe instead of a melted TT.

Looks alright...but then again, nothing to really shout about. I still find the Le Mans Quattro concept the best looking Audi..
