To be honest, I think they look a bit Jaguar-ish now.
From Elmo's picture, I think the front grill is way too big which makes it out of proportion.

The thing that seems to have been competely and utterly ignored for the last 11 pages of posts is one of the first things mentioned in anything mentioned about the car on most blogs.
I mean, just reading up, the car apparently will ofer "new levels of customization." That says to me some sort of coachbuilding going on. The thing is, that doesn't really happen nowadays. But, if Aston were to bring it back, every single one77 could be different to each other. Which, to me, would be awesome. If it means you can pick new colours for your seats, then it's a bit crap, and deffo isn't worth the est. price. However, if you can walk into the factory and say, actually, I don't like the look of those doorcards. or that steering wheel. Actually, I don't like the wheels, or these front wings. It would be superb. You can essentially design your own Aston Martin, and still have that awesome engine. A lot has been talked over about the performance of the car. Personally, I'm not paticularly bothered if it isn't as fast as a 599. If you have enough money to buy one of these, you'll have both if your that desperate for the performance. However, since these are more than likely GT cars, performance isn't the be all and end all. You'd have the Aston you personalized to elope off to your ski resort, and your new Ferrari (whatever they will call the next one) to terrify yourself to death. At the end of the day, I think this will be something a bit special. If it turns out this "customisation" is all colours and materials, bullshit. No way in hell can it cost that much. However, if you are actually involved in that design, then I don't think so much of the price. Remember James Glickenhaus, spent $5 million on a modified Ferrari Enzo ? That probably isn't the fastest thing on the road, but how much do you think he cares, when's he driving around in something like that ?

I agree with you that if the customer is involved in the overall design package of the car then it is somewhat worth the price, but you have to realize it would take Aston to build the 77 cars FOREVER if it is more specific than gauge lighting and stitching pattern. Sure customization would be nice and the $5 million dollar Ferrari Glickenhaus was fully catered to him (they built the car around his body), but it was only one car as opposed to 77 fully customizable cars. (although the probably won't go as afar as choosing body panels and the such) Bottom line, unless I see otherwise, this is the biggest ripoff since the Reventon. And I don't care that I will never be a "potential" customer. As an automotive enthusiast, I can detect a crappy deal when I see it. |

![]() Yeah overpriced, but we actually right now do not know exactly how much it will cost. But regardless if it`s going to cost 250000 or 2000000 you`re going to buy one anyways so stop complaining. We all get that you don`t like AM and that they aren`t the best brand in the world and you`re right, but stop bashing other people for liking it, you`re acting just like a 12 years old Live user... |
